- With Corey Davis (hip) missing another game, Elijah Moore enjoyed a TNF breakout, putting up 7-84-2 on 61% snap share while tying for the team lead with eight targets.
- The week before, Moore put up 6-67-0 on six targets despite playing only 36% of snaps
- However, this isn't his first game with a lot of snaps. He got 86% in Week 1 (one catch), 78% in Week 2 (4-47-0 on eight targets) and 57% in Week 7 (1-13-0 on six targets). The latter two did come against the Patriots in ugly blowout losses.
- Moore took 72% of his snaps on the perimeter, in line with his season rate. It's still him, Davis, Cole and Mims as perimeter options, while Crowder and Berrios handle the slot.
- The problem isn't that Cole or Mims is ahead of Moore. It's that the Jets continue to rotate receivers a lot, even when guys are out of the lineup, which means Moore might be stuck at 50 or 60 percent route participation even if he's starting and playing well. Or, he might not. Feed him!
- 11 Jets got multiple targets; the eight guys listed plus third-string TE Trevon Wesco (two) and RBs Michael Carter (two) and Ty Johnson (three).
- The team had 52 pass attempts, after 49 the previous week. And they ran 80% of their plays from 11 personnel.
- Mike White, the Week 8 hero, left in the first half with a forearm injury and was replaced by Josh Johnson.

- T.Y. Hilton (concussion) was inactive, allowing Dulin and Patmon to split the No. 3 role
- Pascal has seen 5-8 targets in all but one game this year, yet the 58 yards Thursday night represents a season high. He still hasn't reached double-digit PPR points since scoring TDs in Weeks 1 and 2. The snaps and routes, however, remain consistent.
- Pascal saw three targets 20-plus yards downfield Thursday night, after getting just four total over the first eight weeks.
- Pittman scored for a third straight week and fifth time in the past five games, this time putting up 5-64-1 on six targets.
- Pittman didn't get any deep looks in this one, but he does lead the Colts with 13 targets (and six catches) on throws 20-plus yards downfield.
- The 13 targets are tied for 17th among WRs, per PFF.
- Pittman didn't get any deep looks in this one, but he does lead the Colts with 13 targets (and six catches) on throws 20-plus yards downfield.

- Sutton has 63 yards and nine targets in the three games Jeudy has played this year.
- Small sample, but the extent of his non-impact makes it a little worrisome.
- Of course Patrick has been more productive since Jeudy returned! He only has eight targets the past two weeks, but he put up 3-64-0 in Week 8 and 4-85-1 with a highlight-reel TD catch in this one.
- Jeudy took 67% of his snaps in the slot and had 6-69-0 on a team-high eight targets.
- His snap share was only 59% for the game, but it was 69% in the first half.
- The concern is that Jeudy played only eight of 30 snaps (27%) in 12 personnel, while Sutton took 80% and Patrick got 50%. Not the end of the world, but more snaps in heavier formations could get Jeudy an extra target or so per game, depending on how much the Broncos use multi-TE sets
- They used 12 personnel at the second-highest rate (45%) of all teams Week 9, but that was in a game where they led 30-0 at one point. Then again, it was also in a game with Noah Fant (reserve/COVID-19) on the shelf. And Okwuegbunam has a strong case to continue seeing some snaps and targets.

- Don't be fooled by the final snap shares. Prior to the fourth quarter, Cooper and Lamb both were at 88% snap share, and Wilson was at 67%.
- The fourth quarter ended up accounting for nearly half of the Dallas snaps, and Cooper took just six of 26 (23%), with the Cowboys perhaps letting him rest his balky hamstring once the game was out of reach.
- Lamb played only 54% in the fourth quarter, but he did see five targets in the final frame, catching two for 23 yards.
- Schultz put up 4-54-0 on five targets and played a season-high 95% of snaps with Blake Jarwin (IR/hip) missing his first game of the season.

- Smith reinjured his shoulder, attempting to play through the injury for a second straight week. An absence would help Henry, who has become extremely reliant on TDs and scored another one Sunday.
- Henry's latest receiving lines (most recent listed first): 2-19-1, 1-33-0, 2-23-1, 2-25-1, 6-75-1, 4-32-1.
- And he only has three EZ targets, and four inside the 10-yard line.

- Sweeney was only targeted twice but in terms of snaps and routes he took over the Dawson Knox (hand) role for a second straight week.
- Despite playing 87% and 82% of snaps, Sweeney has seen just six targets over the two games.
- Beasley is up to 33 targets over the past three weeks, after back-to-back games with exactly two. He's benefitted from fewer multi-TE formations with Knox out, and Josh Allen seems to be defaulting to his slot man more as he struggles.
- Sanders barely left the field but was targeted on just eight of his 51 routes (15.7%) and finished with 4-65-0.
- The week before, he had a goose egg on four targets and 56 snaps, ending a four-game run with at least a dozen PPR points in every contest.

- Agnew's five targets were his fewest over the past four games, a stretch in which he's played at least half the snaps every week while averaging 5.0 catches for 46.0 yards and 0.25 TDs on 7.5 targets.
- He also took a carry for 11 yards, his third of the year. More rushing work would be a nice bonus on top of the No. 3 receiver role.
- Shenault played only 24% of his snaps in the slot, while Jones was at 42% and Agnew at 59%.
- Shenault started the year in the slot but has now been getting the fewest inside snaps of the three.
- In four games since the DJ Chark injury, Jones has averaged 4.0 catches for 45.3 yards and 0.25 TDs on 7.3 targets.

- Gage finished without a target in Week 8, despite playing 68% of snaps with Calvin Ridley (NFI/personal) inactive. In this one, Gage caught seven of a team-high eight targets for 64 yards, also tying Sharpe for the team lead in routes (29).
- Sharpe had seen 68% snap share Week 8, putting up 5-58-0 on six targets. In this one, he drew just one target on 29 routes. Very Tajae Sharpe-like.

- He's played 86-88% of snaps in four straight, averaging 4.5 targets and putting up 2-43-0, 3-36-0, 2-40 and 4-47-0. Still with no TD this year.
- Juwan Johnson was a healthy scratch Sunday. That'll help Trautman a little, if it continues. Johnson has just 13 targets in seven games, but three have been in the red zone and all three went for touchdowns.
- Harris saw eight more targets Sunday, after seven in Week 8, his first game back from a hamstring injury.
- He's fourth among WRs in targets per route (32.0%) but hasn't played even 50% of snaps in a single game.
- He took 43% of his Week 9 snaps in the slot and is at 32% for the year
- Overall this year, he's averaging 3.0 catches for 46.1 yards on 4.4 targets, with two TDs in seven games. That's better than I would've guessed before I looked it up.
- Tre'Quan Smith remains allergic to targets, though he did catch three of his four for 53 yards. He's seen only three, three and four targets in his three games since returning from IR, even with his snap share creeping up from 55% to 63% to now 80%.

- He finished with 5-52-0, after 3-80-0 in Week 7 and 4-29-0 in Week 6.
- And he's not just getting short looks. Bateman's 11.2 aDOT may not quite be up there with Hollywood (14.6) or even Andrews (12.3), but it's deeper than league-average for a receiver.
- Unfortunately, Bateman could lose some snaps/routes/targets once Sammy Watkins (thigh) returns, which apparently could happen as soon as Thursday night in Miami. Then again, Watkins will probably miss time again, and the Ravens might only view him as the third receiver at this point anyway.

- Waddle put up 8-83-0 on a team-high 10 targets, bouncing back from 4-29-0 on 11 targets against Buffalo the week before.
- His 78 targets are ninth most among all players, but they've led to only 496 yards, in part because of a 6.4 aDOT.
- Waddle did have 97 air yards (aDOT) on Sunday, and his aDOT over the past four games is 8.7, back in normal range for a WR. There's still breakout potential for the second half of the season, if Tua Tagovailoa (finger) can get/stay healthy and provide half-decent QB play.
- His 78 targets are ninth most among all players, but they've led to only 496 yards, in part because of a 6.4 aDOT.
- Waddle and Gesicki both have seen exactly 20% of Brissett's targets (39 of 195) this year. Myles Gaskin (26) has the third most from Brissett.
- Gesicki is ninth among TEs in target share (17.6%) but fourth in overall targets (63). In part because hasn't missed a game and Miami hasn't gone on bye yet, but it also helps that the Dolphins are averaging 39.9 passes per game.

- Jones and Edwards took on every-down roles but saw just four targets apiece, while Renfrow fell in his usual snap range and tied a season high of nine targets, with 7-49-1 receiving.
- Renfrow has at least three catches and five targets in every game this year, and only once has he finished with single-digit PPR points. But he also hasn't gone higher than nine targets, seven catches or 77 yards in any game.
- Edwards went catchless on four targets, while Jones caught one of four for 20 yards.
- With Waller back in the lineup, Foster Moreau dropped to 22 snaps and zero targets, after going for 6-60-1 on 100% snap share in the previous game (prior to a Week 8 bye).

- Of the 25, Collin Johnson (13) actually played more than Slayton (10), Golladay and Toney (24%). Between Johnson's involvement, the reduced overall passing volume and the lack of three-wide sets, it was a rough day for all three of Golladay, Slayton and Toney, with each running exactly 17 routes and seeing no more than two targets.

- Landry led the team with five targets and ran a route on 19 of Baker Mayfield's 23 dropbacks, but finished with just 3-11-0 receiving.
- Landry has 28.0% of Cleveland's targets in three games since returning from IR. His 23 targets in that stretch are more than double second-place Hooper (11).
- Even with a modest 8.9 aDOT over the past three games, Landry has a 31% AY share.
- Hooper and especially Njoku got a few more snaps than usual, but not routes or targets.
- Njoku, however, did see each of his three targets in the end zone, including two passes from inside the 10-yard line. But his score (and only catch) came from 18 yards out.

- Allen had a classic Allen game with 12-104-0 on 13 targets.
- And Williams had a 2019 Mike Williams game, 2-58-0 on five targets.
- That's three in a row with exactly five targets for Williams, though the first was a game with limited snaps (36%) due to a minor injury.
- It's still a bit worrisome, considering Justin Herbert threw 39, 35 and 38 passes in those three games.
- Williams has six TDs in eight games and is still averaging 8.25 targets, but he's now down to 8.7 YPT, a 56.1% catch rate and 71.9 yards per game, with his loss of volume coinciding with a loss of efficiency. Matchups also matter, and he's faced pretty good secondaries (BAL, NE, PHI) in recent weeks.
- Cook's snap share (43%) hit a season low for the second straight week. That's 15 percentage points below his season mark (58%), with the beneficiary being No. 3 TE Anderson, who put up 4-39-1 on season-high 45% snap share.
- No. 2 TE Donald Parham (38%, 3-39-1) also had a nice game, but his snap share was right in its usual range.
- Cook's reduced playing time mostly was in the first quarter (seven of 21 snaps) and fourth quarter (six of 20). He played much more in the middle of the game.
- Cook played just four of 17 snaps (24%) in 12 personnel, and also just 22 of 45 (49%) in 11 personnel. Anderson (13) and Parham (10) both got some work in 11.
- Cook also had a decent game in the box score (4-48-0), but his value is in trouble if both Parham and Anderson are taking a bite out of him moving forward.
- I wish I'd looked into this BEFORE making a Cook/Parham trade early Tuesday morning. I gave up some future auction dollars to upgrade from the young guy to the old guy on a second-place team. It won't be much of an upgrade if

- Reagor is officially just the third receiver, behind Smith and Watkins.
- Smith rebounded from 1-15-0 in Detroit with 5-116-1 on six targets, his second 100-yard game of the year.
- He's been slumping but still ranks 21st among WRs with 24% target share. The run-heavy gameplans are a concern, but the Eagles simply aren't good enough to continue running the ball this much, even if they want to.

- The snap shares for Ertz and Moore (81%) are worth noting, but neither did much with the Cardinals going run-heavy sans Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green.
- Moore has six straight games with 3-to- 6 targets, no TD and no more than 59 receiving yards.
- He did add a 3-38-0 rushing line in the 59-yard receiving game (Week 5), but he's taken just two carries for one yards over his past three games.
- Moore finished with 5-25-0, with decent target share (19%) not amounting to much under the circumstances.
- Kirk, with 6-91-0 on six targets, was the only pass catcher besides Wesley (3-62-0) to have a decent game.
- Chase Edmonds' high-ankle sprain could push a few targets away from the RBs and toward the TEs/WRs. It could also lead to fewer rush attempts, or more carries from the WRs (hint, hint), if the Cardinals don't like what they see from Eno Benjamin behind James Conner.
- Benjamin looked pretty good Sunday with 9-39-1 on the ground.

- Kmet finally turned his three-down role into a decent receiving line, with 6-87-0 on eight targets. But, of course, Graham got the two end-zone targets (and didn't catch either one despite getting his hands on the first.
