2024 Fantasy Outlook
Conley wound up appearing in eight games with the 49ers in 2023 after being signed off of the team's practice squad midseason. The veteran wideout appeared in eight contests and logged just three receptions, but he took one of them 40-plus yards to show us he still possesses that 4.35 40-yard dash speed that made him an intriguing mid-round selection for the Chiefs back in the 2015 NFL Draft. Now familiar with head coach Kyle Shanahan's route trees, Conley has an inside track to nabbing one of San Francisco's backup wideout roles out of the gates in 2024. Read Past Outlooks

Questionable to return Sunday
Conley (elbow) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Cardinals, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
Conley suffered the elbow injury in the second half and his return is now up in the air. The wide receiver caught both of his targets for 30 yards before departing Sunday. In his absence, Trent Taylor is a candidate to see an increase in workload with San Francisco's offense.

Conley signed with the 49ers to compete for a role as a backup receiver or on special teams. The speedy veteran never broke through as a starter during his time with Kansas City, Jacksonville, Houston and most recently Tennessee (appeared in seven games). With Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud firmly set as San Francisco's top four receivers, Conley could find himself on the chopping block come roster finalization.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Role could grow versus Lions
Conley could be poised for a larger role in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Lions after Deebo Samuel was a non-participant in Wednesday's walkthrough practice due to a shoulder injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jauan Jennings saw the biggest uptick in playing time after Samuel injured his shoulder in the divisional-round win over the Packers and missed the entire second half, but Conley was next in line among the team's wide receivers. Conley played 25 offensive snaps compared to 18 for slot specialist and return man Ray-Ray McCloud, while rookie Ronnie Bell was inactive. After going without a catch all season prior to a three-catch, 69-yard showing in Week 18, Conley may suddenly be thrust into a prominent role this Sunday.
