Zach Pascal

Zach Pascal

29-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
Arizona Cardinals
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Pascal followed coach Jonathan Gannon from Philadelphia to Arizona last offseason, but the familiarity didn't result in much work or output for the six-year pro. In 14 appearances, Pascal logged more time on special teams (202 snaps) than on offense (184) as he fell to career-worst numbers (4-19-0 on 15 targets) across the board. The Cardinals toggled their receiving corps this offseason, but Pascal seems destined to be no higher than fifth or sixth on the depth chart in a group composed of Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson, Zay Jones, Greg Dortch and Chris Moore, among others. Remains without target in 2024
WRArizona Cardinals
October 23, 2024
Pascal wasn't targeted while playing two of the Cardinals' 57 snaps on offense in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Pascal has suited up in each of Arizona's first seven games, but he's played double-digit snaps on offense just once, when he got on the field for 10 plays in a Week 5 win over the 49ers. Though he cleared 600 receiving yards in two seasons with Indianapolis earlier in his career, Pascal looks to be valued mostly for his special-teams contributions at this stage. He recorded just four receptions for 19 yards over 14 games in his first season with Arizona in 2023, and he has yet to draw a target in 2024.

Undrafted in 2017, Pascal didn't see any NFL action until earning a Week 1 roster spot with the Colts for the 2018 campaign. In four years in Indy, he averaged 37.5 catches for 472 yards per season and scored 15 TDs in 64 (of a possible 65) games. Pascal's durability followed him to Philly in 2022, but despite playing in all 17 contests, he found it difficult to crack the WR rotation, ending with career lows (15-150-1 line on 19 targets) across the board. While he'll have to contend with Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore, rookie third-rounder Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch in Arizona this fall, Pascal may be able to make an impact after the team released DeAndre Hopkins.
Pascal caught only 38 passes last season despite playing 872 offensive snaps for Indianapolis, but he does have the benefit of familiarity with Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, who was the Colts' offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2020. The 27-year-old wideout now is set to compete with Quez Watkins and Jalen Reagor for roles behind Philadelphia's top two receivers, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. As a result, the Old Dominion product's path to steady volume in Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts-helmed offense is murky so long as the the team's top duo remains healthy.
Pascal suited up for all 16 regular-season contests for the Colts in 2020, hauling in 44 of his 71 targets for 629 yards and five touchdowns. He had a top-three role for most of the season, but with T.Y. Hilton, Michael Pittman and Parris Campbell all back, Pascal could drop down to the No. 4 spot if/when the aforementioned trio all are healthy at the same time. Granted, it won't happen at the start of the season, with Hilton already on IR due to a disc injury. Pascal thus figures to start off the year as Carson Wentz's No. 2 or 3 wide receiver, getting another shot to prove he belongs.
Pascal took advantage of injuries to the Colts' receiving corps to establish himself as one of their top targets last year. He wasn't consistent, but that had partly to do with erratic quarterback play and irregular target volume. Pascal did post two 100-yard games, including one with a pair of touchdowns. Overall, he managed a respectable 14.8 YPC and 8.4 YPT in one of the league's weaker passing games. At 6-2, 219, Pascal is big but has only average speed (4.55 40) even for his size. He's athletic - 36-inch vertical, 126-inch broad jump - but not especially quick or shifty. He'll compete for targets with T.Y. Hilton, Parris Campbell and rookie Michael Pittman, but Eric Ebron is gone, and the Colts likely upgraded at quarterback by signing the current incarnation of Philip Rivers. Rivers looked done in Los Angeles last year, but the Colts' offensive line should offer him more protection, and he's almost certainly an upgrade from Jacoby Brissett.
Pascal got his first taste of NFL action in 2018, tallying 27 receptions, 268 yards and two touchdowns, including four games with at least four catches and 30 receiving yards. An offseason overhaul at the wide receiver means that the undrafted free agent is now part of a four-headed quagmire at the position, with the 24-year-old Pascal now locked in a battle with the likes of Deon Cain, Chester Rogers, Marcus Johnson and Daurice Fountain for one of the final spots on the team's depth chart behind T.Y. Hilton and Devin Funchess.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to sign elsewhere
WRPhiladelphia Eagles
February 19, 2023
Jimmt Kempski of the Philly Voice believes Pascal will leave the Eagles in free agency.
ANALYSIS
Pascal's an unrestricted free agent in 2023, and he'll likely opt to sign with a team that has fewer options ahead of him at wide receiver. He was buried below a bevy of pass catchers in Philadelphia, notching a career-low 150 receiving yards this past season. The two-time 600-yard receiver could become a sneaky bounce-back candidate following a change of scenery.
