2024 Fantasy Outlook
Jones signed with Jacksonville during the 2022 offseason and subsequently had a career year with 82 catches for 823 yards and five touchdowns. 2023 was a much different story, with Jones bothered by a knee injury for most of the season and ultimately finishing with 321 yards in nine games. He's thought to be healthy now, but the Jaguars released Jones this spring after signing WR Gabe Davis and drafting WR Brian Thomas in the first round. The 29-year-old hooked on with the Cardinals in May and could move into the No. 2 or 3 WR role behind rookie Marvin Harrison, giving quarterback Kyler Murray another intermediate option with good speed for a tall receiver (6-2). Second-year pro Michael Wilson and slot specialist Greg Dortch will also be in the mix for WR snaps, though Harrison and TE Trey McBride are the favorites to see steady targets. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Draws two targets in Week 14
Jones played 24 of the Cardinals' 71 snaps on offense and finished with a 13-yard reception on two targets in Sunday's 30-18 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Jones finished fourth among Arizona wideouts in snaps, with Marvin Harrison (60) and Michael Wilson (59) finishing comfortably ahead of him and Greg Dortch (27) narrowly beating him out. The 29-year-old had played more snaps than Dortch in both of the previous three games, but he went without a target in all of those contests. With Harrison, Wilson, tight end Trey McBride and running back James Conner all greater priorities in the passing attack, Jones likely won't have an opportunity to see enough volume to make a splash in fantasy over the Cardinals' final four games of the season.

Jones finished 2021 strong in Las Vegas and earned a three-year, $24 million contract in 2022 in Jacksonville, where he quickly became a favorite of Trevor Lawrence's in the short passing game. Jones' aDOT dropped from 14.0 his final season in Vegas to 8.6 his first year in Jacksonville, with the trade off career highs for targets (121), catches (82) and receiving yards (823). It would've been a bigger year if not for his league-high 13 drops, and his lackluster 6.8 YPT was easily topped by teammates Christian Kirk (133 targets, 8.3 YPT) and Evan Engram (98 targets, 7.8 YPT). Better efficiency seems likely this year, if only because it would be hard to drop that many passes again and third-year QB Trevor Lawrence figures to continue improving. On the other hand, Calvin Ridley is replacing an over-the-hill Marvin Jones at wideout, making Zay unlikely to approach last year's volume.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Team clears space for return
Jones is poised to rejoin Arizona's roster ahead of the team's Week 6 game against the Packers, as the Cardinals released fellow wide receiver Chris Moore on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Moore's release coincided with Jones logging a full practice Wednesday. The move freed up a spot on the wide receiver depth chart, and more importantly opened up a spot on the 53-man roster, which can be filled by Jones once the Cardinals opt to officially activate him. Jones was suspended for the first five games of the season, and Arizona was granted a roster exemption that could delay his activation until Monday, October 14, but he appears likely to be activated prior to Sunday's game in Green Bay.
