Loses practice squad spot
Carolina cut Patmon from the practice squad Tuesday, Augusta Stone of the Panthers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Patmon inked with the Panthers' practice squad early September, but he will now need to search for a similar reserve role elsewhere in the league. In his one appearance with the Colts last season, Patmon secured two of six targets for 24 yards.

First the bad news: Patmon is entering his fourth year in the league and has only managed four career receptions. The good news is that he's got great size at 6'4" and the Bills don't really have a super deep wide receiver room, especially when it comes to big-bodied options. This need led them to draft Justin Shorter who may be the player that Patmon will have to beat out for a role as a fifth or sixth guy on the depth chart.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could make NFL debut Week 4
Patmon could enter the lineup with Michael Pittman (calf) expected to miss time, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
With Parris Campbell (knee) already set to miss extended time, Patmon could get some looks in the offense moving forward. The rookie sixth-rounder is a solid comparison to Pittman at 6-foot-5, 225 pounds and with a 4.48-second 40-yard dash. The 22-year-old receiver enjoyed a solid senior season at Washington State as well, producing a 58-762-8 line on 94 targets. If he indeed becomes active, Patmon will likely serve as the No. 5 wideout for the Colts.
