2024 Fantasy Outlook
Parker signed with the Eagles in free agency. It’s unlikely he sees a big number of snaps unless A.J. Brown and/or DeVonta Smith miss time. Parker remains a very talented player. However, between a vast injury history, inconsistent play and being on bad offenses, the receiver has been difficult to rely on in fantasy lineups. In terms of injuries, Parker missed four games in each of the past two years. He has played in 13 or fewer games in five of the last seven seasons. If he were to move into a prominent role in the Eagles offense, Parker could have periods of time in which he is very productive. Read Past Outlooks

Announces retirement
Parker announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Two months after signing a one-year contract with the Eagles, Parker has had a change of heart on a 10th season in the league. The 31-year-old cited spending more time with his family as the primary factor in his decision. He spent his first seven seasons in Miami before playing the previous two in New England. The Louisville product's most productive season came in 2019, as he tallied 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns on 72 receptions for the Dophins. He was projected to compete for a role behind A.J. Brown (knee) and DeVonta Smith at wide receiver in the upcoming season.

After coming over from the Dolphins in a trade last April, Parker hauled in 31 of his 47 targets for 539 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games in 2022. At 6-3, 218 pounds, the 2015 first-rounder has the size to provide New England's offense with a big target capable of winning contested-catch scenarios. However, Parker will need to earn steadier volume in order to boost his fantasy standing. For that to transpire, the 30-year-old will need to display improved on-field chemistry with signal-caller Mac Jones under new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. For now, Parker and free-agent addition JuJu Smith-Schuster profile as the top options in a wide receiver corps that also features 2022 second-rounder Tyquan Thornton and Kendrick Bourne.

Cites family as retirement reason
Parker, who announced his retirement after nine seasons on Monday night, cited the desire to spend time with his family as the primary reason for his decision, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Parker noted he wanted to spend more time with his four children as they continue to grow, even as he expressed appreciation for the teams and fans that supported him during his solid NFL career. The 2015 first-round pick of the Dolphins never quite lived up to that pedigree, but he still compiled 369 receptions for 5,266 yards and 27 touchdowns across 119 career games.
