Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Bryant, who spent his first four seasons in Cleveland, signed a one-year, $3.25 million contract with the Raiders just over a month before the team selected fellow tight end Brock Bowers with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. This unexpected turn of events doesn't bode well for Bryant's fantasy outlook, while 2023 second rounder Michael Mayer becomes one of the better TE2 options in the league, leaving Bryant on the outside looking in when it comes to snap share and target projections. Able to practice Thursday
Bryant (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Bryant suffered an ankle injury in Week 9 against the Bengals, and even with the Raiders coming off a Week 10 bye, the issue kept him off the practice field Wednesday. His ability to return Thursday indicates he's progressing through the issue, and if he can practice Friday, he'll give himself a shot at playing against Miami on Sunday. Over his last three games, Bryant has logged seven catches (on nine targets) for 65 yards.

Bryant enters the final year of the four-year rookie contract he signed after being taken in the fourth round of the 2020 draft. He benefitted in an offense that featured multiple tight ends, scoring three touchdowns in each of his first two seasons and achieved career highs in receptions (31) and targets (42) when moving up to second on the depth chart in 2022. The addition of tight end Jordan Akins, who has significant history with quarterback Deshaun Watson, means Bryant may be pushed back down to No. 3. He's not flashy nor is he considered an asset as a blocker, but Bryant is a capable tight end who will be part of a new pass-centric offense.

Could be moved before season
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated pinpoints Bryant as a player who could be traded before the 2023 season.
ANALYSIS
Bryant's entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, and David Njoku is entrenched atop the Browns' tight end depth chart. If a team in need of help at tight end reaches out, Breer wouldn't be surprised if the Browns were willing to move Bryant.
