2024 Fantasy Outlook
Cooper was on pace for 77 catches, 1,351 yards and four touchdowns last season at the time of Deshaun Watson's season-ending shoulder injury. The veteran wideout then managed only 84 yards over the next three games, including one he left early with a concussion, before exploding for 451 yards and three TDs in Weeks 14-16 while repeatedly connecting with QB Joe Flacco downfield. Cooper finished with career highs for receiving yards (1,250), yards per game (83.3) and yards per catch (17.4), though he missed the final two weeks of the regular season with a heel injury and was held to 59 yards in one playoff game. He's reached 1,000 yards seven times in nine seasons, never scoring more than nine TDs or less than five. One might even call him consistent, even though he had a reputation for week-to-week inconsistency during his time with the Raiders (2015-18) and perhaps part of his tenure in Dallas (2018-21). Cooper turns 30 this summer and will once again inhabit an offense led by Watson and head coach Kevin Stefanski. Confidence in Watson is generally waning, but Cooper did account for 23.6 percent of Watson's targets and a whopping 43.0 percent of his yardage last year, hauling in 28 of 39 passes for 480 yards and two TDs. The chemistry with every other pass catcher may have been off, but that does create some hope that Cooper can have another productive year even if Watson never rediscovers his Houston form. RANKS
Blanked in Week 15 win
Cooper played 32 of the Bills' 70 snaps on offense and went without a target in Sunday's 48-42 win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a big Week 14 performance in the Bills' 44-42 loss to the Rams in which he recorded six catches for 95 yards on a season-high 14 targets, Cooper unexpectedly saw no involvement at all Sunday in another high-scoring affair. Though his snap share (46 percent) was similar to last week's 54 percent rate, Cooper didn't garner any looks on any of the 34 pass attempts from quarterback Josh Allen, who spread the ball around to nine different pass catchers. The Buffalo offense is rolling at the moment and doesn't look on track to slow down with the team facing two relatively unimposing defenses in the Patriots (twice) and Jets (once) over the final three games of the regular season, but Cooper's weekly output looks like it could be highly volatile down the stretch while Allen relies on an array of playmakers rather than a narrower usage tree.

Unbothered by playing most of the season with the mediocre Jacoby Brissett as his quarterback, Cooper enjoyed a rebound season in 2022 after a slow finish to his three-and-a-half-year tenure in Dallas. Nine touchdowns represented a career high, with 132 targets tying his previous best and 1,160 yards marking his second most. Cooper has never quite been the high-end WR1 many expected when the Raiders made him the fourth overall pick in 2015, but he does have six 1,000-yard campaigns in nine years and has never scored fewer than five touchdowns in a season. One concern from last year is that he actually put up better numbers with Brissett than with Deshaun Watson, though it didn't help that four of the six Watson games were December/January home contests in Cleveland, where wind tends to be a bigger factor than in any NFL locale. The Browns have other weapons in TE David Njoku, WR Donovan Peoples-Jones and offseason addition Elijah Moore, but only Moore has shown potential to threaten the volume of someone like Cooper ... and Moore is coming off a complete bust of a second season in New York. The greater concern is that Watson didn't look like his old self last year.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Extension candidate
Cooper could sign a contract extension with the Bills before reaching free agency, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wideout has dealt with a sore wrist after being acquired by Buffalo ahead of the trade deadline, missing two games as a result, but when he's been on the field Cooper has flashed some chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen. The Bills are on bye in Week 12, giving Cooper a chance to heal up further, and the franchise has a track record of finding a way to lock up key personnel. If he has a big finish to the regular season, or makes an impact in the playoffs, Cooper could become a priority for the front office to sign to an extension.
