Seals-Jones started a career-high six games with Washington last season, logging 30 receptions for 271 yards and two touchdowns. He signed with the Giants in the offseason, and with Evan Engram off to Jacksonville, Seals-Jones initially looked to be in line to work as New York's primary tight end in 2022. Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set to replace Logan Thomas
Seals-Jones is expected to serve in a starting role for Washington beginning in Sunday's game against the Saints after Logan Thomas was placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to a hamstring issue, Pete Hailey of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Following Thomas' early departure in last week's win over the Falcons, Seals-Jones played 92 percent of the offensive snaps, pulling in two of his four targets for 19 yards. Washington has rookies John Bates and Sammis Reyes on hand as depth options at tight end, but neither is expected to pose a major threat to Seals-Jones for the No. 1 job while Thomas is sidelined.
