Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Taking Things in Stride

This article is part of our Weekly Pitcher Rankings series.

As of this writing, Atlanta has a 12.5-game lead in the NL East. No more than three games separate the other five divisions. This could afford the team the luxury of giving some time off to their position players, as well as limiting the workload of hurlers like Charlie Morton and especially Spencer Strider. Strider is two innings from matching last season's total and is pacing for 194 frames. GM Alex Anthropolos came out fervently against an innings limit, but that was last season when the context was preventing future injuries. I'm not so sure it applies to making sure Strider is fresh in October. Chances are, Strider is safe for this week's two-step, but don't be surprised if the club finds a way to slow down his innings pace.

Please keep in mind the schedule is pulled from the industry's best Probable Pitchers page. Please address all rotation questions over there. I'm happy to answer rankings queries below.
