Bye Week: Minnesota, Tampa Bay
Here are our rankings for the coming week at each position to help you decide your starting lineup. Our rankings are based on the following scoring system: four points for a passing touchdown; six points for a rushing/receiving touchdown; one point for every 20 passing yards; and one point for every 10 rushing/receiving yards. Flex Rankings are for PPR leagues.
Typically, this article will be posted on Tuesday evenings, roughly around 7:00 pm PT. ***These are not draft rankings. They are solely for the given week of the season.***
I will update these during the week, usually twice per week to account for injury or other news during practice. The timing of those updates will vary based on the news at hand and my schedule for the given week. But the first of those updates usually won't happen until Thursday. At any rate, I will post a "last updated" note at the top of the article, or an "update in progress" note if it's while I'm doing it. If there is no such note, that means it's my first pass at the rankings for this current week.
By all means, if you want to discuss a rank, or want me to add a player, chime in on the comments. I try to be receptive to your feedback and try to respond to most comments, though on occasion the volume can be quite thick. Please refer to the rankings first when asking "should

1. | Tom Brady NE vs. Cin |
2. | Drew Brees NO vs. Car |
3. | *Cam Newton CAR at NO Note: (Concussion) Though he missed the Monday night game, he took part in football-related activities Monday afternoon. Limited practice Wednesday - hadn't yet been cleared by an independent neurologist. 4. | Ben Roethlisberger PIT at Mia |

8. | *Andrew Luck IND at Hou Note: (Shoulder) Limited practice Thursday. ***Once again, removed from the injury list later in the week.*** |
9. | Aaron Rodgers GB vs. Dal Note: Not all is well quite yet - averaged just 5.8 yards per attempt against the Giants, the third time in four games that he was below 6.0. |

11. | Alex Smith KC at Oak |
12. | Brian Hoyer CHI vs. Jax |
13. | Carson Wentz PHI at Was |
14. | Dak Prescott DAL at GB Note: Tony Romo is still dealing with swelling in the area of his surgery, making a Week 9 return more likely than Week 8, giving Prescott more rope. |
15. | Tyrod Taylor BUF vs. SF |
16. | Brock Osweiler HOU vs. Ind Note: Finally gets a cushy matchup against the Colts - really struggled in previous road matchups against the Pats and Vikes. |
17. | *Matthew Stafford DET vs. LA Note: ***Upgraded upon further review.*** |

30. | *Case Keenum LA at Det Note: Jared Goff could play if the Rams get 'way ahead or way behind' in future games. As Chris Liss says all the time, how bad must Goff be for the Rams to keep rolling Keenum out in lieu of Goff but for extreme game situations? |
31. | *Kevin Hogan CLE at Ten Note: Promoted from the Browns' practice squad after the team released Charlie Whitehurst - might actually start this week. |

27. | Spencer Ware KC at Oak |
28. | Chris Ivory JAC at Chi |
29. | *Justin Forsett DET vs. LA Note: Signed by the Lions. All of a sudden he might be quasi-relevant again, with Riddick hurt. ***Will split carries with Zach Zenner, as Riddick is out and Washington is doubtful.*** |

70. | *Robert Turbin IND at Hou Note: (Wrist/shoulder) Full practice Wednesday. |
71. | *C.J. Prosise SEA vs. Atl Note: (Wrist) Getting closer to returning, but still wearing a cast that he'll have to shed before he can return. Full practice Wednesday. ***Listed as questionable, but once again won't play.*** |

9. | Brandon Marshall NYJ at Ari |
10. | Doug Baldwin SEA vs. Atl |
11. | Jordy Nelson GB vs. Dal |
12. | *Julio Jones ATL at Sea Note: Limited to just two catches on six targets, in part because the passes to Tevin Coleman were working so well, in part because Denver's defense is so tough on wideouts. 22. | Jordy Nelson GB vs. Dal |
23. | Brandin Cooks NO vs. Car |
24. | *Julio Jones ATL at Sea Note: Limited to just two catches on six targets, in part because the passes to Tevin Coleman were working so well, in part because Denver's defense is so tough on wideouts. 31. | Delanie Walker TEN vs. Cle |
