Lewis has now missed back-to-back seasons with neck and knee injuries, respectively, putting him in a difficult spot to compete in Miami's crowded receiver room. The former Auburn standout did play all 32 games during his first two years in Cleveland, catching 45 of 96 targets (47 percent) for 562 yards (5.9 YPT) without any touchdowns, but even then his production metrics didn't move the fantasy needle.
After spending the entire 2018 season on Cleveland's injured reserve with a neck injury, Louis is now set to sit out the 2019 campaign in Miami due to a knee issue. Set to once again enter free agency in 2020, it appears likely that Louis will part ways with the Dolphins before suiting up for a single game.
Louis, selected in the fourth round of the 2016 draft, projects to be in the mix for a depth role among Cleveland's receiving corps. Across two seasons, Louis has racked up 45 receptions for 562 yards with no touchdowns while usually serving as the team's fourth receiver. At 6-foot-2, 215, he has good size, though he has yet to fully utilize it on game day. The Browns still like his upside, but time is running out for him to show it.
As a rookie, Louis only managed to record 18 receptions for 205 yards, but he could see an expanded role in 2017 with Terrelle Pryor now in Washington. Even though the Browns signed veteran Kenny Britt, we still expect Louis to see increased targets. If the team can find a stable quarterback to lead the charge, Louis could become a fantasy darkhorse as the team's slot receiver.
Louis, a rookie fourth-round pick, boasts a ton of athleticism with 4.43 speed and a 38-inch vertical. However, he'll need to shore up his route running and hands if he wants to separate himself on a roster suddenly loaded with young wide receiver talent. He'll compete with fellow rookies Rashard Higgins and Jordan Payton, and veterans such as Marlon Moore and Terrelle Pryor for playing time, but his explosiveness could make him an intriguing pick in the deepest of leagues.
