Last night, we had our second annual Facebook experts league run by Jeff Ma of Citizen Sports. It's a basic league (12-teams, 1 QB, 2, RB, 2 WR, 1 FLEX, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D). Here are the results: (podcast discussion below).
Erickson and I discussed this (among other things) on our Blog Talk Radio podcast this morning. I called Matt Berry's Roddy White pick a reach, Erickson defended it and in the end, I agreed it wasn't so bad.
Also, ESPN's Nate Ravitz and Matt Berry discussed it on their Fantasy Focus podcast, though they mischaracterized the circumstances surrounding my seventh and eighth round picks. (Both liked the idea of taking two upside QBs, but Berry thought my execution was poor because Kurt Warner was still on the board - which he wasn't). They also implied it was in the fifth and sixth rounds (and that I had only secured one starting RB), when it was the seventh and eighth rounds, and I had two already. Finally, while they were respectful of my fantasy game, they dissed my Vegas one.
I thought about filing a libel suit over the Vegas remark but then I remembered truth is an absolute defense.
Incidentally, I'm the defending champ of this league, and looking over the rosters, obviously the prohibitive favorite to repeat.
