Gould made 87.5 percent of FGAs and 96.1 percent of PATs the last six seasons in San Francisco, but the Niners didn't re-sign him this spring and instead used a third-round pick on Jake Moody. While the 40-year-old Gould hasn't converted more than two kicks from 50-plus yards in a season since 2017, his continued strong work from short range could lead to another gig if he decides to continue his career.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Hoping to play in 2023
Gould, who played with the 49ers the past six seasons, is hoping to receive a training camp invitation ahead of the 2023 season, Michael Smith of Pro Football Talk reports.
ANALYSIS
Gould went 27-for-32 on field-goal attempts last season for the 49ers and also was 50-of-51 on point-after tries. He expressed his desire to return to San Francisco, but the 49ers elected to trade for Zane Gonzalez in March and used a 2023 third-round pick to draft Jake Moody out of Michigan. Still, kickers in the NFL come and go and are often given a shorter leash for mistakes than other positions, so Gould could get a phone call at any time from any team in desperate need of the 40-year old's services.
