Scheduled against Guskov
Pauga is scheduled to compete against Bogdan Guskov in a light heavyweight fight at UFC Vegas 86 on Feb. 10, according to Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com.
ANALYSIS
Pauga's next opponent is a light heavyweight slated to make just his second appearance in a UFC octagon. Pauga will look to put the past behind him, as his previous fight was a disappointing loss against Modestas Bukauskas.

Victim of horrific judges decision
Pauga lost to Modestas Bukauskas via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC on ESPN 47 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It took exactly one fight for our first horrendous decision of the evening, with Pauga being the unfortunate victim in this instance. Primed to pull the upset as a +170 underdog, Pauga was in pretty firm control the entire way outside of the final minute of Round 1 in which he absorbed too much damage on the feet. Other than that, he was the better conditioned athlete and appeared to clearly win, at a minimum, the final two frames. Unfortunately, this is the risk you run when the judges get involved. Pauga has alternated losses and wins in his first three UFC bouts.

To take on Bukauskas
Pauga will take on Modestas Mukauskas in a light heavyweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for June 17 in Las Vegas, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Pauga was knocked out by Mohammed Usman in his company debut last August but bounced back with a decision victory over Jordan Wright in February. He now takes on a fighter in Bukauskas who recently snapped a three-fight skid with a win over Tyson Pedro last February. Neither man has successfully executed a takedown during their time with the UFC, so look for this fight to play out on the feet, where Bukauskas holds a slight advantage in striking volume over a small sample size.

Cruises to first UFC victory
Pauga defeated Jordan Wright via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a crushing knockout loss to Mohammed Usman in the finale of The Ultimate Finale 30 in a bout in which he appeared to be in firm control, Pauga responded with an easy unanimous decision win in this fight. Well aware of Wright's power and history of displaying poor cardio, Pauga wisely pinned his opponent up against the fence for nearly all of the first two rounds. He did plenty of damage from in tight, including a vicious elbow which split Wright's forehead wide open. Overall, it was a very encouraging performance from a guy that appears to have some legitimate long-term potential. Pauga is getting on-the-job training with just seven professional fights under his belt.
