Third straight stoppage win
McGhee defeated Gaston Bolanos via TKO (strikes) at 3:29 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
He's only three fights into his UFC run, so we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but the company might have found something in McGhee. This was his third straight stoppage victory since arriving, and it was once again another dominating performance -- one that would earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. McGhee has no holes in his game. He has power, a solid grappling game and excellent fight IQ. He easily dominated Bolanos, a noted striker, on the feet. Typically having only nine pro fights under your belt at age 33 is a bad thing, but McGhee certainly has less damage to his body than your typical aging fighter, and you know he's getting elite training on a daily basis while working with the guys at the MMA Lab in Arizona.

Gets his shot at Bolanos
McGhee will take on Gaston Bolanos in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Vegas 83 on January 13, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
This pair was originally scheduled to throw down in August, but Bolanos was forced to withdraw due to an unspecified issue. McGhee went on to defeat JP Buys as a heavy favorite and improve to 2-0 in the UFC and 8-1 as a professional. Both of those wins ended with Performance of the Night bonuses, so McGhee will look to keep that streak going against an opponent who last fought in April -- a debut victory over Aaron Phillips.

Cruises as biggest favorite on card
McGhee defeated JP Buys via KO (punch) at 2:19 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 51 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
McGhee was the largest favorite on the entire card at -350 despite having one UFC appearance to date and all of eight pro fights under his belt. As always, Vegas knows all. McGhee, who appears to have massive power for a bantamweight, crushed Buys with a right hand which sent his opponent stumbling towards the cage and forced referee Jason Herzog to immediately halt the contest. The finish would go on to earn him one of four $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening. McGhee is 33 years of age, so his long-term upside is in question despite his quick start to his UFC run. The company might as well push him quickly to get an idea of the potential here.

Fighting new opponent
McGhee will face off against JP Buys at UFC Vegas 78 on Aug. 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
McGhee will face a replacement opponent, JP Buys, after Gaston Bolanos withdrew due to undisclosed reasons. The 33-year-old American fighter took down Journey Newson in his UFC debut, and he will look to stay undefeated against Buys.

Second UFC fight set
McGhee is scheduled to face Gaston Bolanos in a bantamweight bout at a UFC event on Aug. 12 in Las Vegas, Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McGhee, like his opponent Bolanos, is coming off a victory in his UFC debut. The fighter from Detroit, Mich. disposed of Journey Newson with a rear naked choke in the second round of a fight in late April. Now, both fighters will look to stack victories and prove they belong in the UFC.
