Will take on Harris
Williams will take on Carlston Harris on a UFC Fight Night event scheduled for May 18 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie report.
ANALYSIS
Williams is coming off a tight win over Rolando Bedoya by split decision, and this means he has won three of his last four outings, a run he'd like to extend here. He owns a 14-3 record in MMA and a 5-2 mark at the UFC level.

Barely gets past Rolando Bedoya
Williams defeated Rolando Bedoya via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 288 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Williams found himself on the wrong end of a split decision setback to Randy Brown in his most recent fight about a year ago, so it has to feel good for him to emerge victorious here. Of course, Khaos wasn't a -400 favorite in the Brown fight like he was against Bedoya. Williams hits extremely hard and is exceedingly durable, but his fight IQ is questionable, at best, which is why he finds himself barely scrapping by in fights such as this one that he should have won going away. We've seen enough from Khaos over the course of his three-plus years in the company to know his style won't be changing in the future. As a result, the 29-year-old Michigan native could struggle to put together any sort of a prolonged winning streak.

Booked for May 6 event
Williams will face the debuting Rolando Bedoya in a welterweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for May 6, C.C. Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams fell to Randy Brown back in May, which dropped his UFC record to a still-respectable 4-2. He now draws a 14-1-0 debutant who hasn't tasted defeat since 2015 and trains out of the same camp as former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira in Brazil. Williams' body of work and high striking volume should earn him some respect, but this is a tough fight to handicap against a lesser-known regional champion.

Drops split decision in Phoenix
Williams lost to Randy Brown via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC 274 on Saturday in Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
This was a tale of two separate fights. Williams was easily the better man in Round 1, pounding Brown and nearly earning the stoppage. It was all downhill from there. Williams did score a knockdown in the latter stages of Round 3, but Brown was the far more technical man over the course of the final ten minutes, and Khaos appeared to be out of sorts. This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, because Williams was always going to have difficulty winning fights if his power shots aren't landing. They did in the opening frame, but rarely the rest of the way. Khaos' 4-2 mark in his first half-dozen UFC bouts is quite solid, but he's going to struggle to defeat better competition at 170 pounds if he isn't able to diversify his offense a bit.

Match booked vs. Randy Brown
Williams (hand) is scheduled to face Randy Brown (knee/toe) in a a welterweight fight May 7 at UFC 274 in Phoenix, Farah Hannoun of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams (13-2-0) will be back in the Octagon for the first time since Nov. 13, when he defeated Miguel Baeza via third-round TKO in Las Vegas. "The Oxfighter" was handed a medical suspension after fracturing his right hand during the fight, but he'll be healthy and ready to go by the time May 7 arrives. He'll be taking on a rising contender in the division in Brown (14-4-0), a winner of four of his last five fights.
