WelterweightUFC
October 14, 2024
Brown (toe) is scheduled to compete against fellow welterweight Bryan Battle at UFC 310 in Paradise on Dec. 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
It took Brown a little over four months for his toe to pass medical clearance and get a fight scheduled. He will look to finish his 2024 strong after already beginning this year with wins over Muslim Salikhov (TKO) and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (unanimous decision).

Needs toe X-rays
WelterweightUFC
June 4, 2024
Brown has been given an indefinite medical suspension by the New Jersey State Athletic Board pending X-rays on his right big toe, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown put himself in a good position to face a ranked opponent with his seventh victory in eight trips to the Octagon on Saturday, but a slight medical hiccup could delay that announcement to late-2024. This doesn't look like an injury with much, if any, long-term risk, as he showed no signs of being affected by it in Saturday's 15-minute affair. He did, however, imply in a later interview that he broke his foot in the first minute of the fight, in which case an absence of at least a couple months would seem likely.
Survives tough second round in win
WelterweightUFC
June 1, 2024
Brown defeated Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 302 on Saturday in Newark.
ANALYSIS
This fight was entirely predictable while at range, as Brown used his long jab to keep dos Santos at bay and intercepted him with devastating knees when he tried to close distance. Things got interesting in the second frame when the Brazilian took Brown's back and nearly finished a choke, but "Rude Boy" was able to end the round on top before getting back to business in the final frame. It seems strange to say that Brown has been coming into his own due to how long he has been with the company. It must be acknowledged, however, that more consequential fights are on the horizon, as the 33-year-old has won seven of his last eight contests.
Zaleski dos Santos up next
WelterweightUFC
April 17, 2024
Brown is scheduled to compete against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC 302 in a welterweight fight at Newark on June 1, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Brown will look to go 7-1 across his last eight fights and improve his current winning streak to three. He defeated Wellington Turman and Muslim Salikhov for the streak's first and second wins.
Improves to 6-1 in past seven
WelterweightUFC
February 3, 2024
Brown defeated Muslim Salikhov via TKO (punches) at 3:17 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
These two were due to fight at UFC 296 in mid-December before a Brown illness forced its postponement. They finally got it on here, and Randy picked up a statement win. Brown didn't have much going early on, but a quick jab following by a sweeping hook cracked Salikhov in the jaw and put him out in an instant. Now 33 years of age, Brown has won six of seven dating back to April 2021, and his lone loss in that span came against a legitimate contender in Jack Della Maddalena. "Rude Boy" deserves a step up in competition his next time out. He's earned it. In the meantime, he'll walk away with an extra $50,000 as one of two Performance of the Night recipients on the card.
Salikhov fight next again
WelterweightUFC
January 11, 2024
Brown (illness) will fight Muslim Salikhov in a welterweight bout at UFC Vegas 85 on Feb. 3, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Brown was supposed to fight Salikhov at UFC 296 before the former withdrew because of a physical illness. The two will fight at UFC Vegas 85 instead, between one and two months after the pay-per-view.
