Harris will fight Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Vegas 101 on Jan. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Harris was quickly defeated by Khaos Williams during his most recent fight, though the former will have a solid chance to bounce back against Ponzinibbio, who has won just one of his previous five bouts.

Harris lost to Khaos Williams via KO (punch) at 1:30 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Known for his grappling and submission game, Harris isn't the type of fighter who excels in wild, back-and-forth brawls. His opponent, on the other hand, is at his best in those situations. Therefore it should come as no surprise that it was Williams that got the better of the action when the two men were firing bombs at each other in the center of the Octagon. One sweeping right hand connected flush, and referee Dan Miragliotta was pulling Williams off Harris just moments later. It's a crushing result for Carlston, who at age 36 simply cannot afford to come up on the short end of pick 'em bouts such as this one.
Set to face Khaos Williams
WelterweightUFC
April 2, 2024
Harris will face Khaos Williams on a UFC Fight Night event scheduled for May 18 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie report.
ANALYSIS
Harris is on a two-fight winning streak, including a come-from-behind submission win over Jeremiah Wells in August. However, he's 36 years old already, and it's unclear how much he has left in the tank. Harris owns a 19-5 record in MMA and a 4-1 mark at the UFC level.
Pulls off miracle submission win
WelterweightUFC
August 5, 2023
Harris defeated Jeremiah Wells via submission (anaconda choke) at 1:50 of Round 3 at UFC on ESPN 50 on Saturday in Nashville.
ANALYSIS
It's not how you start, it's how you finish. To give you an idea how ineffective Harris was prior to submission, he was credited with five total significant strikes landed in a fight which lasted nearly a dozen minutes. He spent nearly the entirety of the first two rounds on his back and seemed destined for the same fate in the final frame before Wells left his neck exposed on a takedown attempt, and Harris took full advantage. The come-from-behind victory would go on to earn Harris one of five $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening. It hasn't been pretty, but Carlston is now 4-1 in his first five UFC bouts, and his lone setback came against rising welterweight star Shavkat Rakhmonov. Already 36 years of age, Harris will have to keep racking up the wins.

Harris will face off against Jeremiah Wells at UFC Nashville on Aug. 5, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Harris, who emerged victorious over Jared Gooden in March, will face off against Jeremiah Wells in August. The 35-year-old fighter is 3-1 during his time in the UFC, and he will look to knock off an equally hot newcomer in Wells this August.
Easy victory in Vegas opener
WelterweightUFC
March 11, 2023
Harris defeated Jared Gooden via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This will almost certainly go down as the most lucrative evening of Harris' pro career. Not only will he pick up his show and win bonus, but he'll also pocket 30 percent of Gooden's fight purse after the latter missed weight by six pounds Friday morning. After a tight, back-and-forth opening round in which both men had their moments, Harris wisely realized his easiest path to victory would be to lean on his wrestling. He landed 5-of-10 takedown attempts over the course of the final two frames, good for a whopping 9:36 worth of control time. Harris improves to 3-1 in the UFC, with his lone setback coming against top-rated challenger Shavkat Rakhmonov.
