Loses as massive favorite
FlyweightUFC
October 20, 2024
Hadley lost to Cameron Smotherman via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-29, 27-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
What an absolute disaster. Agreeing to face Smotherman on just days' notice following the withdrawal of Brady Hiestand (undisclosed), Hadley went out and got dominated as a -600 favorite. He looked uncomfortable the entire fight. He was unable to land any consistent offense, with the "highlight" of his performance being a pair of nasty eye pokes that cost Jake a point. The performance is even more frustrating given Hadley is fresh off a strong effort in a unanimous decision win over Caolan Loughran in July. The Brit needs to rebound his next time out in a major way.

New opponent scheduled
FlyweightUFC
October 16, 2024
Hadley is scheduled to compete against Cameron Smotherman in a bantamweight fight at UFC Vegas 99 on Oct. 19, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Initially, Hadley was supposed to fight Brady Hiestand at UFC Vegas 99. But for an undisclosed reason, the latter withdrew from the event, leaving Hadley without an opponent. The UFC recently signed Smotherman, who is 11-4 with six KO/TKOs and on a three-fight win streak. As for Hadley, he will look to finish his 2024 on both a high note and a clean slate. Earlier this year, Hadley lost to Charles Johnson and missed weight before defeating Caolan Loughran.
Taking on Hiestand in October

Hadley will fight Brady Hiestand at a UFC event in Las Vegas on October 19, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Hadley will take on Hiestand coming off a unanimous decision victory over Caolan Loughran in July and will hope to establish a pattern moving forward. The 28-year-old Englishman will give up a size and reach advantage to the younger American in the bout. Hadley will undoubtedly be hoping for an early end to the fight, as he boasts a perfect 8-0 record in finishes, with five of those victories coming by submission.
Takes decision after weight miss
FlyweightUFC
July 27, 2024
Hadley defeated Caolan Loughran via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC 304 on Saturday in Manchester, England.
ANALYSIS
Hadley accepted this fight less than a week ago, which very well may have had an impact on his missing weight by a pound Friday morning. He relinquished 20 percent of his fight purse to Loughran and then went out and snapped a two-fight losing streak. Hadley defended well and landed a big blow here and there, which was enough to win the bout considering his opponent generated next to nothing offensively. Hadley has no history of sustained success, but this win should ensure the soon-to-be 28-year-old Brit gets another shot with the company.
Misses weight for UFC 304
FlyweightUFC
July 26, 2024
Hadley will compete in a catchweight bout against Caolan Loughran at UFC 304 on Saturday after missing the bantamweight limit by one pound, according to MMAFighting.com.
ANALYSIS
A late addition to UFC 304, perhaps Hadley underestimated his ability to lose an extra pound on such short notice. That extra pound cost him 20 percent of his purse for the Loughran fight Saturday.
Late addition to UFC 304

July 22, 2024
Hadley will step in on short notice to face Caolan Loughran in a bantamweight matchup at UFC 304 on Saturday, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Hadley didn't have a fight scheduled just a week ago, but the England native was likely on standby with the card headed to Manchester this weekend. He could be on his last legs in the UFC after dropping back-to-back fights via decision, most recently losing to Charles Johnson in May. He now draws Loughran, a 9-1 Irishman who is 1-1 with the UFC, most recently defeating Angel Pacheco via unanimous decision in March.
