Loughran was originally scheduled to face Ramon Taveras, who apparently withdrew a few days ago due to undisclosed reasons. In steps Hadley, a native of England who has lost back-to-back fights under the UFC banner, both via decision. Loughran will give up two inches in height and reach to Hadley, but he'll have statistical advantages in offensive striking and grappling, albeit over a smaller sample size.

Loughran was a -450 favorite despite dropping a unanimous decision to Taylor Lapilus in Paris in his UFC debut last September. He responded in a major way here, landing 148 total strikes against Pacheco and connecting on 3-of-4 takedowns, good for 4:42 worth of control time. It was a rout in every sense of the word and a strong bounce-back performance from Loughran. Still just 27 years of age, the Irish combatant has some theoretical long-term upside.
