Fighting Hadley in October
Hiestand will take on Jake Hadley at a UFC event in Las Vegas on October 19, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Hiestand will hope to continue his recent form as he looks for his fourth consecutive victory when he takes on Hadley in October. Hiestand previously had two fights canceled against Rinya Nakamura and Da'Mon Blackshear, respectively, prior to his recent submission victory over Garrett Armfield. The 5-foot-8 American will hope to use a size and reach advantage to take down the older Englishman, though he should be hoping to take this fight the distance as Hadley holds an undefeated 8-0 professional record in finishes.

Secures third straight win
Hiestand defeated Garrett Armfield via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:52 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a back-and-forth war in which both men had their moments and opportunities to end the fight. Hiestand relied on his wrestling game the entire way, connecting on 6-of-13 takedown attempts. He consistently outmuscled Armfield at the point of attack. That's the good news. The bad news is Hiestand had to survive a very deep armbar early in Round 1 and a huge shot that floored him in Round 2. Yet, referee Chris Tognoni allowed Brady to work through it and he did just that, landing a shockingly easy takedown early in Round 3 before working for the rear-naked choke. Still just 25 years of age, Hiestand has now won three in a row (including his last two via stoppage) on the heels of a split decision defeat to Ricky Turcious in his UFC debut back in August 2021. He'll also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts here.

Gets June fight
Hiestand will square off against Garrett Armfield at a UFC event on June 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Hiestand had to withdraw from his previous scheduled fight versus Rinya Nakamura at UFC 298 in January for an undisclosed reason. Whatever the issue was, it appears his health is back up to par. The 24-year-old boasts a two-fight winning streak with victories over Fernie Garcia and Batgerel Danaa. His opponent, Armfield, has also won his previous two fights.

Withdraws from Nakamura fight
Hiestand (undisclosed) is out for his fight against Rinya Nakamura at UFC 298, according to Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
It is unclear why Hiestand withdrew from his scheduled fight against Nakamura. While the promotion is seeking Hiestand's replacement, he is likely out until mid-2024 at the earliest.

Undefeated opponent next
Hiestand (infection) is scheduled to compete against Rinya Nakamura in a bantamweight fight at UFC 298 in Anaheim on Feb. 17, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Hiestand will look to impress by delivering the first loss to an undefeated bantamweight 3-0 in the UFC and 9-0 all-time. He is 2-1 across his last three fights and 7-2 in MMA, giving both fighters opponents on relatively equal form and with nine bouts of experience each.
