Closer Watch

Royals - Any concerns about Greg Holland's status as the Royals closer has be put to rest for now, having not given up a run since May 6 when he blew a save against the White Sox. Holland now has eleven saves in 2013, with four coming just in June. Anyone still holding onto Aaron Crow or any of the other Royals relievers, other than Holland, should not expect many saves coming their way.

Key Matchups

Kyle Blanks, OF, SD - Over the course of a six game hitting streak Blanks is riding coming into Saturday he has hit over .400, two home runs, with six runs, and six RBIs to his name. Blanks has played most of his games in a Padres outfield that just got a little bit more crowded with Cameron Maybin's activation from the disabled list. Blanks should have a good chance of regular at-bats while playing first base with Yonder Alonso now on the disabled list until early July. Blanks is definitely worth a look for teams in all leagues that are unhappy with their current outfield, and at some point soon 1B, situation.
