Expected to fight in January
Moises is expected to fight Trey Ogden in a lightweight bout scheduled for Jan. 11th, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moises is expected to fight Ogden; however, the location and details of the event are currently unknown. The 29-year-old holds an 18-8-0 record but has lost two of his last three contests. Moises lost his last contest against L'udovit Klein via unanimous decision in June.

Not competitive in Louisville loss
Moises lost to L'udovit Klein via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.
ANALYSIS
There's no shame in losing to Klein, who is a capable opponent, but the fact Moises was totally dominated and not the least bit competitive in a pick 'em fight is highly concerning. Thiago got cracked with a high kick early on before getting dropped late in Round 1. He was lucky to survive that flurry, as he was to survive a flurry after getting dropped again late in Round 3. In between, he did next to nothing offensively. Moises has plenty of talent, but a 3-4 record in his past seven fights dating back to July 2021 isn't going to get the job done in a deep lightweight division.

Klein fight on tap
Moises is scheduled to compete against L'udovit Klein in a lightweight fight at the UFC's June 8 event set for an undisclosed location, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Both lightweights are scheduled to compete against each other after dominating late-notice replacements for their previous fights. Moises defeated Mitch Ramirez on March 16, just a little over two weeks after the latter took up the fight. Meanwhile, Klein defeated AJ Cunningham, who fought in under a week's notice.

Dominates late-notice replacement
Moises defeated Mitch Ramirez via TKO (leg kicks) at 0:15 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Moises wanted to remain on this card following the withdrawal of his originally scheduled opponent Brad Riddell (undisclosed) a couple weeks ago, and he has zero issues with his late-notice replacement in Ramirez. The Brazilian did whatever he wanted against the newcomer, beating him up on the feet and landing both of his takedown attempts before finally putting Ramirez away with some devastating leg kicks early in Round 3. The Brazilian has had issues winning the "big" fight over the course of his career, but Moises does his victories over the likes of Michael Johnson and Bobby Green on his resume. He's going to roll fringe-roster fighters such as a Ramirez.

Set to face Mitch Ramirez
Moises is expected to face Mitch Ramirez in a UFC event on March 16, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moises needed a new opponent following the withdrawal of Brad Riddell due to undisclosed reasons, and all signs point to Ramirez being the guy. "The FIght Stalker" owns an 8-1-0 pro record, but if he's confirmed to face Ramirez, then it would be his UFC debut.
