Cunningham lost to L'udovit Klein via TKO (strikes) at 4:36 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Stepping in for Joel Alvarez (undisclosed) on just days' notice and entering as a +750 underdog against a legitimately quality opponent, Cunningham was drawing dead from the start. He displayed plenty of toughness before Klein eventually put him away with a brutal body shot. AJ competed on Dana White's Contender Series last September, suffering a second-round knockout defeat. The UFC certainly assured Cunningham he would receive a second fight with the company after agreeing to face Klein here, but he would appear to have almost zero chance of sticking with the company over the long term.
