Second win in past month
Cavalcanti defeated Nora Cornolle via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
Don't let the "split decision" term fool you. Cavalcanti won this fight and did so with relative ease. Stepping up for an injured Germaine de Randamie on about two weeks' notice, it took Jacqueline about a round to find her range. Once she did, she dominated on the feet and stuffed all eight of Cornolle's takedown attempts over the course of the final ten minutes. Cavalcanti has now picked up a pair of victories in the past month and is 3-0 in the UFC, with all three wins coming via decision.

Filling in against Cornolle
Cavalcanti will take the place of Germaine de Randamie and battle Nora Cornolle at UFC Paris on September 28, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Randamie was dropped from the fight for unspecified reasons, but rather than dropping the fight from the card altogether, Cavalcanti was chosen to fill in against Cornolle. The Brazilian-born fighter out of Portugal will come into the fight riding a five-bout win streak across promotions dating back to 2022, including back-to-back decision victories to begin her UFC career. Cavalcanti will hop to use a slight size and reach advantage to take down the older Cornolle, who will head into the Octagon riding an eight-fight win streak across promotions.

Remains perfect in UFC
Cavalcanti defeated Josiane Nunes via split decision (30-27, 27-30, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight was way more lopsided than the "split decision" term would lead you to believe. Cavalcanti pretty much did whatever she wanted on the feet in what was a 15-minute kickboxing match. As the longer, taller fighter, she simply circled away from the power side of Nunes, fired off volume, and got out of dodge before the Brazilian could return fire. The end result was a 91-52 edge in total strikes landed. Neither woman attempted a takedown. Set to turn 27 years of age in less than a week, Cavalcanti has now won each of her first two UFC bouts via decision.

Next fight scheduled
Cavalcanti is scheduled to compete against Josiane Nunes in a bantamweight fight at UFC Vegas 96 on Aug. 24, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
This is scheduled to be Cavalcanti's first fight since September, when the Portuguese bantamweight debuted with a win over Zarah Fairn. Up next is a 10-2 fighter in contrast to a 6-6 fighter, and one trying to redeem herself after suffering defeat against Chelsea Chandler.

Cruises as biggest favorite on card
Cavalcanti defeated Zarah Fairn via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
The former LFA women's bantamweight champion, Cavalcanti was in firm control for the entirety of her UFC debut as -380 favorite, largest on the entire card. She spent the entire 15-minute bout beating up an overmatched Fairn on the feet, ending with a 127-39 edge in total strikes landed. Fairn is winless in four UFC bouts, so this victory means little for Cavalcanti over the long haul, but it was nice to see her get off to a fast start in her first fight with the company.
