Spivac bout moved to UFC 272
Harder (finger) will now be facing Sergey Spivac at UFC 272 on March 5 in Las Vegas, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The two heavyweights were set to throw down at UFC 270 in Anaheim this weekend, but a finger injury forced Hardy to withdraw. It seems both his camp and the promotion expect it to be a short-term issue, and that he'll be ready for the new March date. This was originally supposed to be a matchup against Aleksei Oleinik, but Spivac was forced to step in following the Oleinik's withdrawal. Hardy will now get more time to prepare, though still stands to enter as a betting underdog.

Booked for UFC 270
Hardy will take on Aleksei Oleinik at UFC 270 on January 22, Mike Bohn and John Morgan of MMAJunkie.com report.
ANALYSIS
Hardy's last bout ended in defeat, falling to Tai Tuivasa via KO (punches), but he'll look to turn things around in January. He'll have a significant disadvantage in terms of experience, going up against Oleinik, who owns a 59-15-1 MMA record and an 8-6 UFC record.

Torched by Tai Tuivasa
Hardy lost to Tai Tuivasa via KO (punches) at 1:07 of Round 1 at UFC 264 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was the all-out brawl that everyone expected and it was Hardy that cracked first. Simply put, Hardy doesn't have the experience or skill set to be fighting the best heavyweights in the world. His power and explosiveness is obvious, but it only comes in short spurts. His cardio has proven to be shockingly poor considering his past NFL experience. Hardy has to win via knockout and has to do it quickly or else he is finished. It's nearly impossible to envision a scenario in which the soon-to-be 33-year-old Hardy is able to improve his game enough to consistently compete at this level. He's 4-3 (1NC) in eight UFC bouts and the wins have come against Maurice Greene, Yorgan De Castro, Juan Adams, and Dmitry Smoliakov.
