Blown out in Vegas opener
LightweightOther
December 19, 2020
Minus lost to Christos Giagos via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
After dropping a unanimous decision to Matthew Semeisberger in his UFC debut this past August, Minus once again wasn't the least bit competitive Saturday. Giagos did anything he wanted over the course of the first ten minutes, racking up four successful takedowns and a countless amount of control time. There was an opening for Minus to gain some ground in the final frame with Giagos visibly exhausted, but he was unable to do so. Now 0-2 in the UFC and with the company planning to trim their roster in the coming months, the odds would appear to be against Minus receiving a third opportunity to turn things around.
Gets new opponent
LightweightOther
December 17, 2020
Minus will take on Christos Giagos (undisclosed) in a lightweight matchup Saturday in Las Vegas, Al Zullino of Tapology reports (via Marcel Dorff of MMADNA).
ANALYSIS
Minus needed a new opponent on short notice after Rick Glenn (undisclosed) withdrew from the card Wednesday. Minus made his UFC debut in August, losing to Matthew Semelsberger via unanimous decision. He'll take on Giagos, who withdrew from his matchup at UFC Lincoln in April and hasn't fought since. Giagos most recently fought at UFC 241 in August of 2019 and lost to Drakkar Klose via unanimous decision. The two fighters are even in height.
Seeking new challenger

Minus is looking for a new opponent to fight Saturday in Las Vegas after Rick Glenn withdrew from the event, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Minus and Glenn have been on the fight card since October, and it's unclear why Glenn withdrew. The UFC is actively searching for a new challenger to fight Minus in a lightweight bout.
Facing Rick Glenn
LightweightOther
October 23, 2020
Minus will take on Rick Glenn in Las Vegas on Dec. 19, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Minus will be looking for his first UFC victory after losing a unanimous decision against Matthew Semelsberger in his debut in August. Glenn is also coming off a unanimous decision loss, against Kevin Aguilar back in November of 2018, though he does have three UFC victories in six total fights.
No-shows UFC debut
LightweightOther
August 22, 2020
Minus lost to Matthew Semelsberger via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a lousy performance from Minus in a fight that was essentially a pick 'em according to the Vegas oddsmakers. Minus allowed Semelsberger to get off first in virtually all the striking exchange between the two men. Although one judge scored a round for the debuting Minus, it's difficult to see where that came from. Outside of one PFL fight in which he was submitted by former UFC veteran Rick Story, Minus had spent his entire pro career prior to Saturday on the regional circuit. There simply isn't much here.
