Gets taken out of his game by Handesson Ferreira at PFL 10
Story lost to Handesson Ferreira via verbal submission (punches) at 1:15 of Round 2 at PFL 10 on Saturday in Washington, D.C.
ANALYSIS
Story has been experiencing a bit of a renaissance in the PFL. However, that came to an end here. Ferreira set the tone early with his wrestling. From there, he went to his striking, where he landed a series of very hard body kicks. In the second round, Ferreira scored a takedown off the bat and landed vicious ground and pound for the victory. Story is nearing the end of his career, and he should probably not take more beatings like this one.

Survives and wins brawl against Yuri Villefort at PFL 3
Story defeated Yuri Villefort via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at PFL 3 on Thursday in Washington, DC.
ANALYSIS
In a lot of ways this was a vintage Story performance. He ate plenty of shots for the opportunity to land his power. Even though he was getting hit, he continued to come forward. He did not wear the damage as well as he used to, and he gave up position on the ground on a few occasions. However, he did more than enough to win. Story had not fought for more than two years, so this was a good performance to knock the dust off. With that being said, he can't take this type of punishment against a more powerful puncher.

Now fighting under PFL banner
Story will return to MMA and make his Professional Fighters League debut against Yuri Villefort at PFL 3 on Thursday in Washington DC, the Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Story had been riding a three-fight winning streak heading into an August 2016 matchup against Donald Cerrone. Rather than extend his UFC contract, he made a big bet on himself and came up short, losing to Cerrone via second-round TKO. Nearly two years later, "The Horror" Story is ready to make his debut under another banner with his sights set on a $1 million top prize. At 33 years old and with plenty of high-level MMA experience, Story has to be considered one of the frontrunners in PFL's welterweight division. He has 19 fights in the UFC to his name, and has picked up wins over the likes of Johny Hendricks, Thiago Alves, Gunnar Nelson and Tarec Saffiedine. Story even lost a split decision to top middleweight contender Kelvin Gastelum back in 2014.

Suffers first knockout loss at hands of Donald Cerrone
Story lost to Donald Cerrone via TKO (strikes) at 2:02 of Round 2 at UFC 202 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
That'll do it for Story's brief three-fight winning streak. No matter how hard Story tried, he was simply unable to match the speed of Cerrone on the feet. Story had a couple of opportunities in ground exchanges with Cowboy to try and get into a position to do some damage, but he was unable to do so and the fight quickly returned to the feet, where he had all kinds of trouble. Somehow, Saturday was the first time in his long career that Story was ever knocked out. That gives you an idea of not only how durable he is, but also how much power Cerrone has. Story is a solid, above-average welterweight, but that's about all.

Set to face Cowboy Cerrone Saturday in Las Vegas
Story (+145) is the underdog for his welterweight fight against Donald Cerrone which will take place at UFC 202 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Story has had a long, underrated career that has been highlighted by him winning fights in which few people gave him a chance. This fight against Cerrone sets up similarly, but Story is going to have a significant uphill climb if he plans to pull off this upset. Story has little power and since no one is in better shape than Cowboy, it's going to be difficult for him to win a fight that goes the distance. We have seen Story do it before, so it would be foolish to count him out completely, but it's not hard to see why he's looking at long odds in this one.
