Suffers first UFC defeat
LightweightUFC
September 28, 2024
Oki lost to Chris Duncan via technical submission (guillotine choke) at 3:34 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
Oki was in full control the entire fight prior to the finish. In fact, the end result was a bit of bad luck for Bolaji. He slipped while entering for a takedown attempt, leaving his neck exposed in the process. Oki never tapped out, instead preferring to go to sleep. Of course, referee Loic Pora had zero idea what was going on and needed to be told by Duncan that Oki was out. The 28-year-old drops to 1-1 in his first two UFC bouts.

Oki is scheduled to compete against Chris Duncan in a lightweight fight at UFC Paris on Sept. 28, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Oki has an opportunity to finish 2024 with multiple wins. He logged a victory over Timothy Cuamba at UFC Vegas 86 in February, his first win while part of the promotion.
Earns wins in UFC debut

February 10, 2024
Oki defeated Timothy Cuamba via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Oki earned his UFC opportunity with a first-round knockout win on Dana White's Contender Series last August. Facing a late-notice opponent in Cuamba, Oki sandwiched solid performances in the first and third rounds around a lousy second frame. He managed to stuff 5-of-6 Cuamba takedown attempts, which was key given the vast majority of Oki's offense comes in the stand-up. We won't get a better idea of the 28-year-old's future potential until we see him in the Octagon against some better competition.

Oki will now fight Timothy Cuamba at UFC Vegas 86 on Saturday, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Damir Hadzovic was forced to withdraw from the fight for undisclosed reasons, so Oki will now face Cuamba in what will be both fighters' UFC debuts. Oki and Cuamba both enter with 8-1 professional records, but Oki will have much fresher legs with Cuamba's last fight having been on Friday.
UFC debut scheduled

December 19, 2023
Oki is scheduled to fight Damir Hadzovic in a lightweight fight at UFC Vegas 86 on Feb. 10, per Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com.
ANALYSIS
Oki earned a UFC contract with his performance in one of Dana White's Contender Series shows. For his first fight, the lightweight will fight an individual who has not fought since 2022 and last won a bout in 2021. Hadzovic should be no softball though, as his 14-7 MMA record can attest.
Earns contract with huge TKO
LightweightUFC
August 29, 2023
Oki defeated Dylan Salvador via KO/TKO (punches and knees) at 2:46 of Round 1 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of three fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
Salvador was the decorated kickboxer in this matchup, but it was Oki who looked the part, dictating with his pressure early before finding a counter shot that led to a barrage of body shots that folded his opponent and forced the referee to step in. Lightweight is known for being one of the most competitive divisions in the UFC, but the 27-year-old should be able to use his athleticism, creativity, and combination punching to feel right at home while attempting to crack the top 15.
