Finally scheduled to fight
Hadzovic is scheduled to fight Bolaji Oki in a lightweight fight at UFC Vegas 86 on Feb. 10, per Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com.
ANALYSIS
For now, this fight is Hadzovic's first scheduled in one-and-a-half years. The lightweight last fought in July 2022, when he lost to Marc Diakiese in London. Hadzovic will look for his first win since July 2021, when he outlasted Yancy Medeiros.

Smothered by Marc Diakiese
Hadzovic lost to Marc Diakiese via unanimous decision (26-30, 26-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
It's difficult to last the entire 15 minutes and accomplish as little as Hadzovic did in this one. On the flip side, Diakiese didn't do much in his own right, but he was the guy who landed 8-of-11 takedowns for 13:35 worth of control time, ending any prayer Damir had of making this fight competitive. Hadzovic attempted only 25 total strikes, landing 20 of them. He was completely smothered for the duration of the fight. Some thought Damir was a potential value play at +330, but it turns out he was nowhere near a big enough underdog. The soon-to-be 36-year-old Hadzovic is in dire straits, having lost three of his last four dating back to June 2019.

Matchup with Diakiese awaits
Hadzovic (14-6-0) is scheduled to face Marc Diakiese (15-5-0) in a lightweight fight set at the UFC's July 23 event in London.
ANALYSIS
Hadzovic will return to the Octagon for the first time in more than a year, as he last fought Yancy Medeiros in June 2021, when he won unanimously. "The Bosnian Bomber" had previously scheduled a matchup with Steve Garcia for the UFC's April 23 event, but the fight was later scrapped due to travel concerns on Hadzovic's side.
