Taps out to Chase Hooper
Leavitt lost to Chase Hooper via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:58 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A submission loss in under three minutes is never a great sign, but it's difficult to say Leavitt looked poor here. Both men had their moments in what was a three-minute ground battle. Eventually, the long limbs of Hooper won out, as Leavitt found himself caught in a rear-naked choke, at which point he tapped out almost immediately. A member of the UFC roster for nearly three years, Leavitt has never been able to find any sort of consistency -- good or bad -- through seven fights with the company. Leavitt's record sits at 4-3.

Easily dispatches newcomer in Vegas
Leavitt defeated Victor Martinez via TKO (strikes) at 2:33 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was an excellent and surprising rebound performance from Leavitt on the heels of his submission loss to Paddy Pimblett in London last July. Known as a pure wrestler and submission specialist with virtually no power to his name, Leavitt came out of nowhere to blast Martinez with some brutal knees before some follow-up punches closed the show. The entire thing took less than three minutes. Leavitt isn't going to be able to knock his opposition out on a consistent basis, but just threatening them on the feet would go a long way to enhancing his overall effectiveness. The 27-year-old has won three of his last four. He'll also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, which was awarded to all six finishers on the evening.
