Taps out to Nate Landwehr
Lingo lost to Nate Landwehr via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:11 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 43 on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
It was a pretty strong showing from Lingo considering he and Landwehr agreed to meet about a week ago after both of their recently-scheduled opponents withdrew. Austin got off to a quick start, seemingly getting the better of Nate in Round 1 despite the numbers being extremely even. The tide turned in Round 2 when Lingo gave up a takedown attempt and absorbed some significant punishment before eventually tapping out late in the frame. Lingo has nothing to be ashamed about regarding his performance. The 28-year-old Texan has his brief two-fight winning streak snapped in defeat.
