Set to face Boser
Camur will take on Tanner Boser in a light heavyweight bout at a UFC event on Aug. 5, Nolan King of USA Today reports Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Camur, like his opponent, is looking to get back on the winning side of things after two straight losses. He'll be looking to leave no doubt with his performance after loosing on two straight decisions, one unanimous and the most recent a split against Nicolae Negumereanu. Camur will look to bring his UFC record to an even 2-2 after winning his first match with the company only to lose the next two. With the announcement of the fight, it's safe to assume he's fully back from his undisclosed injury that forced him to withdraw from a fight in November of 2021.

Bows out of UFC 268
Camur (6-2-0) withdrew Monday from his scheduled light heavyweight matchup with John Allan (13-6-0, 1 NC) at Saturday's UFC 268 in New York City due to an unspecified injury, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Dustin Jacoby (15-5-1) will step in on five days' notice to replace Camur on the card and face Allan. The extent of Camur's injury nor a timeline for when he might return to competition is available.

Will fight on UFC 268 card
Camur will take on John Allan in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 268 on Nov. 6, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Camur is coming off a split decision defeat to Nicolae Negumereanu back in June. That was his second straight defeat after falling to William Knight in September of 2020. Camur still has upside at just 25 years of age.

Will appeal Negumereanu loss
Camur is appealing his UFC Vegas 29 loss to Nicolae Negumereanu with the Nevada Athletic Commission, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Camur is appealing on the grounds that referee Mike Beltran did not properly deduct a point after Negumereanu repeatedly grabbed the fence to avoid takedowns despite being issued multiple warnings. Considering Camur lost via split decision, a point deduction for Negumereanu would have ended with Camur getting his hand raised. Unfortunately, however, these types of appeals rarely ever see the review process, let alone have a chance of getting actually overturned. The loss will presumably hold up, leaving Camur's professional record at 6-2-0.

Falls as hefty favorite
Camur lost to Nicolae Negumereanu via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a backbreaking defeat for Camur in a fight in which he entered as the second biggest favorite on the card at -250. It was probably the correct decision, but Negumereanu also should have been docked a point by referee Mike Beltran for repeated fence grabs. Both men spent the entirety of the bout throwing bombs, with Camur having most of his success leaning on his jab. Camur struggled in Round 2, but looked a bit better in the first and third frames. Camur is just 25 years of age, but he has now dropped back-to-back decisions (Negumereanu, William Knight) since taking a unanimous decision from Justin Ledet back in January 2020.
