Knight was removed from the UFC's roster on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Knight went 3-1 in his first four UFC bouts after he earned a contract through Dana White's Contender Series in 2020, but he lost his past three fights and is now a free agent. He lost to Marcin Prachnio with an awful performance Saturday in Las Vegas, and during his previous bout in April of 2022 he missed weight by 12 pounds before being defeated by Devin Clark.

Does nothing in lopsided loss
Light HeavyweightOther
February 18, 2023
Knight lost to Marcin Prachnio via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Knight missed weight by 12 pounds, a UFC record, for his knockout loss to Devin Clark last April. He made weight for this one before going out and putting forth what will undoubtedly go down as one of the worst performances of the year. Entering as a -135 favorite, Knight did absolutely nothing in Round 1 other than remain stationary and eat leg kicks from Prachnio. That left him without a base for the remainder of the fight, and the end result was Knight serving as a punching bag for his opponent for 15 minutes. It was so bad it makes you wonder if Knight entered with a preexisting injury. Either way, it was inexcusable. Now in the midst of a three-fight losing streak, Knight may be handed his walking papers (later confirmed during the week).
Will meet Prachnio after all
Light HeavyweightOther
November 28, 2022
Knight's proposed light heavyweight matchup against Marcin Prachnio has been rescheduled for Feb. 18, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why the original fight was scrapped, but Knight will ultimately get some extra time to prepare for his attempt to bounce back from a two-fight losing streak. Prachnio hasn't fared much better in the UFC with just a 2-4 record, but Knight had still been listed as roughly a (+120) betting underdog prior to the first fight's cancellation.
Fight called off
Light HeavyweightOther
November 10, 2022
Knight's light heavyweight fight against Marcin Prachnio is no longer on the card for the UFC's Nov. 19 event at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Knight was looking to bring his UFC career record back above .500 after falling to Devin Clark and Maxim Grishin during his previous two bouts in the promotion. While it's unclear why this fight was called off, the 34-year-old heavyweight will now likely search for a new opponent at a later date. Knight's last win came via a rear naked choke against Daniel Mola on Jan. 8, 2022.
Matchup with Prachnio on tap
Light HeavyweightOther
October 13, 2022
Knight (11-4-0) is scheduled to face Marcin Prachnio (15-6-0) in a light heavyweight bout set for the UFC's Nov. 19 event at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Knight is hoping to rebound in Las Vegas after he took losses to Devin Clark and Maxim Grishin in his most recent two trips to the Octagon. The matchup with Clark was contested at the heavyweight level, but Knight will drop back down to 205 pounds when he takes on Prachnio.
Finished by Devin Clark
Light HeavyweightOther
April 16, 2022
Knight lost to Devin Clark via TKO (strikes) at 3:21 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Knight missed weight by 12 pounds in his last fight, the largest amount in UFC history. As a result, he was forced to fight at heavyweight here, and it all fell apart on him following a fairly strong start. There's a definite case to be made that Knight did enough to win Round 1, but Clark took over from there. While both men landed a takedown in Round 2, Knight finished on the short end of a 63-8 deficit in total strikes landed. One final combination midway through Round 3 finished Knight for good. Knight won three of his first four fights with the company, but he's now lost back-to-back fights, in addition to the massive weight miss. He needs a victory his next time out.
