Rest-of-Season Projections
Not on Green Bay's radar
The Packers aren't expected to pursue adding Tannehill or another veteran quarterback after Jordan Love (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Friday's season-opening loss to the Eagles, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
ANALYSIS
Dianna Russini of The Athletic previously indicated that the Packers had reached out to Tannehill, but Pelissero suggests that the team doesn't plan to add a veteran signal-caller at this stage. At this time, the Packers are hopeful that Love is able to return on the shorter end of an estimated 3-to-6-week recovery timeline. Green Bay appears on track to have Malik Willis start their Week 2 game against the Colts, per Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

An ankle injury limited Tannehill to 12 games last season in a rough year for the Titans' passing game. He threw for less than 200 yards in half his games and totaled just 13 TD passes. The development of last year's first-round pick Treylon Burks and a likely bounce-back in the red zone after a below-average 20.0 TD pass percentage should help, as should the addition of DeAndre Hopkins -- but the Titans still figure to run the ball a lot after finishing fifth in rush percentage last year. What's more, Tannehill's rushing fell off last year even before his injuries and may not come back in his age-35 campaign. If the offense struggles again or the team isn't in the mix for a playoff spot, rookie second-round pick Will Levis could replace Tannehill as the starter.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Not headed to Green Bay
The Packers haven't had a conversation with Tannehill, or any other free-agent quarterback, about signing with the team, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Jordan Love suffered a knee injury at the end of a Week 1 loss to the Eagles, creating immediate speculation that the team would try to bring in a more experienced substitute than current backup Malik Willis, but coach Matt LaFleur shot down that theory Monday. "No. Despite reports. It's crazy to me how people come up with some of these things. I think you explore every possibility, but at no point in time did we ever have any discussions with anybody.," LaFleur said. Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Green Bay doesn't intend to place Love on IR, a sign that the team is hoping he will miss fewer than four games. Should he suffer a setback and be sidelined for a much longer stretch, it's possible the Packers might revisit the idea of bringing in a veteran like Tannehill.
