DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

Sunday brings a five game slate with DraftKings having their usual $10 Big Jam Contest with $2,000 available in prizes. FanDuel has its own six game slate, with three games overlapping the main slate on DraftKings. The slate is highlighted by an ACC matchup between North Carolina and Georgia Tech with the highest projected total of 150.5. Let's get on to the action.

Top Players

Michael Devoe, G, Georgia Tech ($9,300 DK, $8,700 FD)

It isn't normally ideal to play someone with such a hefty salary compared to the rest of the field, but Devoe is an exception and there are plenty of other values that make room for his premium salary. Devoe averages 25 points per game, which is the most in all of college basketball. In addition, he's averaging 5.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 35 minutes for an average of 42 DK points through six contests. He has a team-high 29 percent usage rate and is playing in the highest projected scoring matchup. There isn't much not to like about Devoe against North Carolina.

Christian Koloko, F, Arizona ($7,300 DK, $8,400 FD)

Koloko played a season-low 15 minutes in Arizona's last game before leaving with a sprained ankle and still he posted 34.3 DK points. He has been cleared and is healthy for Sunday's game against Oregon State. The 7-1 center is averaging 16.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 3.5 blocks in 23.5 minutes for 37 DK points through six games. He's averaging 5x value for his current salary and the season opener was the only game he didn't score over 30 DK points.

Middle Tier

Azuolas Tubelis, F, Arizona ($6,800 DK, $8,000 FD)

Staying with the Wildcats, Tubelis is another top tier player with a mediocre salary. He leads Arizona in scoring with 16.5 points/game, and averages 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 24 minutes. In addition, he has a team-high 27.6 percent usage rate. Tubelis is a model of consistency, scoring between 25 and 36 DK points in every game this season.

Jack Nunge, F, Xavier ($5,900 DK, $7,100 FD)

Although he may not be as much of a steal as his teammate Nate Johnson, Nunge has plenty of appeal himself. Despite coming off the bench, he averages 11.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and two blocks in 22.7 minutes per game. In his last three contests, he's posted 28.3, 31.5 and 35.5 DK points. He has a solid 22.4 percent usage rate and even when he's not scoring, he's still picking up rebounds and occasional blocks to average 1.22 DK points/minute.

Value Plays

Dante Harris, G, Georgetown ($5,700 DK)

There is plenty of value to be had on Georgetown, but it will be tricky picking which guy will stand out against one of their toughest opponents yet in South Carolina. Harris is a solid option because of the consistency of his floor at his salary. He's managed to score between 27 and 32.3 DK points in all six games this season, proving to be reliable at producing 5x value. In addition, he leads the Hoyas in scoring, with 14.2 points/game and plays just shy of 32 minutes. Following the model of consistency, Aminu Mohammed is another option as someone that puts up around 30 DK points/game that underpriced at $6K. As a deeper option, Kaiden Rice is just $4,100 and averages 20.8 DK points/game while leading the team in three point scoring.

Nate Johnson, G/F, Xavier ($3,800 DK, $6,700 FD)

Johnson might be the best value on the slate because of how underpriced he is on DraftKings. He is averaging 23.6 DK points/game while posting 41.3 and 29.8 DK points in his last two contests. Despite his recent success, his salary actually dropped below the $4K mark. It's rare that you see someone this cheap that is the leading scorer on their team with 14.6 points/game and playing around 30 minutes. He needs just 19 DK points to hit 5x value.
