Bound for NBA
Mohammed announced Wednesday that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Texas to enter the 2022 NBA Draft, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
As a true freshman in 2021-22, Mohammed started in all 31 games, averaging 13.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 32.4 minutes per game. The 6-foot-5 wing wasn't particularly efficient (37.9 percent from the field), but his respectable showing during his lone season of college basketball might be enough for him to garner a second-round selection in the draft.
