Sean Kilpatrick

Undrafted out of Cincinnati in 2014, Kilpatrick spent much of the last two seasons in the D-League, where he emerged as one of its premier talents. In 28 games for the Delaware 87ers in 2015-16, Kilpatrick averaged 26.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor and 42.6 percent from three-point range. That earned him a pair of call-ups from the Nuggets in January, but the two sides parted ways after the expiration of Kilpatrick's second 10-day contract. The Nets then signed Kilpatrick to a 10-day deal and were impressed enough to offer him a three-year contract, which is fully guaranteed through the 2016-17 season. In 23 games for Brooklyn, Kilpatrick averaged 13.8 points per game on 46.2 percent shooting, upping his scoring to 16.9 points per game over the final seven games of the season. While Kilpatrick would likely be an end-of-the-bench player on most NBA rosters, Brooklyn is mostly void of proven backcourt talent as it continues its multi-year rebuild. That should equate to consistent minutes off the bench for Kilpatrick, who projects as the main backup to Bojan Bogdanovic at shooting guard.
