Closer Watch

Red Sox -- Jean Machi struggled mightily en route to Monday's save, loading the bases with Yankees and walking a run in before coming within just a few feet of giving up a game-altering grand slam to the game's final batter, Didi Gregorius. Junichi Tazawa, newly relegated to the eighth inning, delivered a scoreless frame, but it was hardly flawless – he gave up two hits. Still, Machi has been awful all year, so it's hard to imagine the Sox sticking with him for too long. That may mean Tazawa seesaws back into the role at some point; after all, in Boston's dumpster fire of a bullpen, no other reliever except maybe Robbie Ross has made any sort of argument for himself.

Recommended Pickup
Ben Paulsen, 1B, COL – I'm sure Paulsen's been recommended in this space before, but this is a big playoff week in fantasy, and the Rockies get eight games at home in Coors Field, thanks to Tuesday's doubleheader against Arizona. Paulsen will likely sit out the afternoon contest against Patrick Corbin, but is likely to play in the nightcap against Rubby De La Rosa. He'll see plenty more time in the lineup for the rest of the week, as Colorado won't face another lefty 'til Madison Bumgarner on Sunday. As a reminder, the 27-year-old Paulsen has hit .289/.348/.521 with six homers and 25 RBI in 142 Coors Field at-bats.

Other Recent Recommendations:Jose Berrios, Stephen Piscotty, Eduardo Escobar, Mike Moustakas, Wilmer Flores

DraftKings Value Picks

SP: Joe Ross, WAS ($9,200)
C: Salvador Perez, KC ($3,200)
1B: Prince Fielder, TEX ($3,600)
2B: Robinson Cano, SEA ($3,700)
3B: Evan Longoria, TB ($3,600)
SS: Xander Bogaerts, BOS ($3,500)
OF: Jackie Bradley, BOS ($3,600)
