The Skinny

Three big names have missed out on the first two games of the season in Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart and Alysha Clark, and at least two of the three (Bird and Stewart) will miss out again Friday. Clark, on the other hand, has been resting the first two games after finishing up her season overseas, so there's a chance that absence will end Friday. Clark is listed as probable for Friday's contest, so her depressed price on FanDuel above could make for a good value play for a beat up Storm club. Atlanta's opposition has connected from beyond the arc at the fourth-best rate in the league (33.3 percent) and Jewell Loyd's slow start from deep (25 percent through two games) has depressed her price enough to warrant consideration on both sites. Natasha Howard has been the clear-cut top option for the Storm this season, but the lowest expected over-under on the slate could make her a a less appealing top-tier option. However, Atlanta was dominated on the boards in its first game, which could play into Howard's hands.

For Atlanta, the minutes were spread across the board in the first game, with nine different players seeing double-digit minutes and seven players playing more than 20. Seattle is another team that has struggled to defend the three-point line early in the season, allowing the opposition to shoot 35.3 percent through two games. This should work in the favor of a number of Atlanta Dream players, though Renee Montgomery, Tiffany Hayes and Alex Bentley would likely be the primary beneficiaries. Nia Coffey also checks in as one of the biggest price discrepancies, with her DraftKings price being a much greater value, so she may be one to consider on that site if in need of a lineup filler.

The Skinny

Expected to be the closest game on the slate, Las Vegas will receive major reinforcements Friday in the form of Liz Cambage, who finished last season as the runner up for the MVP award. The Mercury lost the rebound category by six in the opening game, which could work in Cambage's favor as an elite rebounder last season. A minutes limit of 15-20 and high prices on the daily sites will limit her upside from a fantasy standpoint, though it's worth noting that she will likely eat into the minutes of both Carolyn Swords and Ji-Su Park. A'ja Wilson checked in with  a double-double in the season opener and could prove to be a solid value again Friday as a centerpiece for the Aces.

On the flip side, DeWanna Bonner was the true star in the opener for the Mercury and wasn't afraid to shoot from deep, taking eight such shots in 37 minutes. She should see a large workload again Friday and takes on an Aces club that allowed the opposition to shoot 38.5 percent from three in the season opener,  positioning Bonner for another strong outing. Brittney Griner will face some tough competition for boards in the form of Cambage, Wilson, and Dearica Hamby, but a lot of the Aces' play will likely run through the post as well, providing Griner with a chance to pick up some additional opportunities to produce fantasy points. Sancho Lyttle is expected to see limited minutes in her return, but a minimum price on FanDuel could make her a worthy inclusion as a value play.

The Skinny

Jonquel Jones has starred for the Sun in the early going, but she will face a Sparks squad that outrebounded their opponent by five in the season opener. That shouldn't stop Jones from racking up serious fantasy points on both ends of the floor in what is expected to be the highest-scoring game on the slate. While there are a number of Connecticut players in the price differential section, none play enough to serve work as anything more than a lineup filler, at best. Jones may be the Sun's best value on both sites, despite her rising price, and Alyssa Thomas has also provided enough production in the early going to warrant consideration, especially for FanDuel. No injuries for the club likely means the game plan will remain the same as it has for the first two games for a club off to a 2-0 start.

The Sparks started off the season on a sour note versus the Aces, but Maria Vadeeva's encouraging performance in the opener could land her firmly as one of he more valuable fantasy options on the slate. She was limited to just 8.2 minutes per game last year, but her rate stats told a different story when she was on the floor. While a repeat performance would be surprising, she wouldn't need it to hit value and her minutes shouldn't decrease much given her opener. It's worth taking advantage of her playing time now, because the eventual return of Candace Parker will presumably decrease Madeeva's minutes. The Sun have held their first two opponents to just 21.6 percent from three in the first two games, so the Sparks may need to lean on production Vadeeva and the Ogwumike sisters down low.
