Brown will compete against Darren Elkins in a featherweight fight at UFC Vegas 81 on Oct. 14, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Up next for Brown is one of the UFC's most tenured featherweights. Elkins has spent more than 70 percent of his MMA career with the UFC, going 17-10. Brown will try to redeem himself after getting submitted by Bill Algeo earlier this year at UFC on ESPN 44.

He ate some additional shots from Algeo on the mat before giving up his back and being choked out in an instant. Set to turn 33 years of age in late May, Brown's 3-4 record in his first seven UFC bouts is underwhelming. He has more ability than that mark would lead you to believe, but "Downtown" is running out of time to make an impact at 145 pounds.
