The UFC released Dobson (eye) on Thursday, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dobson's professional MMA career has fallen to 4-5-0, a mark below .500, so her released from the UFC doesn't come as much of a surprise. She's currently nursing an eye injury that may hold her out of MMA action until late August.

February 23, 2021
Dobson was handed a six-month medical suspension due to an eye injury Tuesday, MMAFighting.com reports.

Gets outgrappled in loss to O'Neill
FlyweightOther
February 20, 2021
Dobson lost to Casey O'Neill via TKO (punches) at 3:41 of Round 2 at UFC Vegas 19 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Dobson had some success tagging O'Neill in the early striking exchanges but struggled to defend O'Neill's takedowns and grappling once on the ground. O'Neill was able to advance into a dominant position and inflict a lot of ground-and-pound, leading to the stoppage in the 2nd round. As a result, Dobson's career MMA record falls below .500 to 4-5-0.
Slated to return in February
FlyweightOther
December 6, 2020
Dobson (ribs) will take on Casey O'Neill in a flyweight bout at a UFC event scheduled for Feb. 20, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dobson earned at least one more fight under the UFC banner after she pulled off a massive upset in late August, defeating Mariya Agapova via TKO (strikes) at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas. She was issued a six-month medical suspension after the fight due to a ribs injury, but she should be ready to return to the Octagon in February. O'Neill will be making her UFC debut after posting a 5-0 record to begin her professional career. She most recently defeated Christina Stelliou via TKO (ground and pound) at UAE Warriors 13 in September. The two fighters are even in height.
Potential ribs injury
FlyweightOther
August 27, 2020
Dobson is facing a six-month medical suspension due to a potential ribs injury following her UFC on ESPN 15 victory over Mariya Agapova, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dobson was the only fighter on the card to receive the maximum suspension, so she could be facing an extended absence unless an X-ray of her ribs is cleared earlier by an orthopedic doctor. She'll also be facing a minimum suspension of 30 days following the biggest win of her professional career.
Pulls off legendary upset
FlyweightOther
August 22, 2020
Dobson defeated Mariya Agapova via TKO (strikes) at 1:38 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's one of the biggest upsets in company history. Dobson probably should have been handed her walking papers following a third straight defeat the past February. The UFC decided to give her another shot and she responded with a stunning, monumental upset. According to the Vegas odds, Dobson's victory as a +800 underdog was the biggest upset since Holly Holm defeated Ronda Rousey back in November 2015. Dobson isn't going to overwhelm anyone with power or athletic ability, but Agapova fought foolishly and Dobson made her pay for it. It's Dobson's first victory since December 2017 and improves her career record to .500 (4-4). She'll also walk away with a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for her efforts.
