Petrosyan fight re-scheduled
Vieira will compete against Armen Petrosyan in a middleweight fight at the UFC's Feb. 10 event, according to Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com.
ANALYSIS
Vieira and Petrosyan got their fight re-scheduled to a date nearly three months down the line. By defeating Petrosyan, the Brazilian can begin a winning streak that has evaded him since 2021.

Fighting at UFC Sao Paulo
Vieira will take on Armen Petrosyan in a middleweight matchup at UFC Sao Paulo on November 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Vieira is looking to put together consecutive wins for the first time since entering the UFC in 2019, and he'll get to do so with a friendly Brazilian crowd behind him. Petrosyan has won three of four fights since officially entering the UFC, and all four of those matchups have gone to the judges. Petrosyan has a significant advantage in volume striking numbers, but sports a woeful 36 percent takedown defense. Effectively, takedowns and control appear to be the most likely path to victory for Vieira, who averages 3.70 takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time.

Rebounds for submission win
Vieira defeated Cody Brundage via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 1:28 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A one-dimensional mat specialist at age 33, Vieira, one of the most gifted BJJ competitors in the history of MMA, was in all sorts of trouble following an opening round knockdown from Brundage. He worked his way through it before capitalizing on an opening in Round 2. Cody attempted to clamp on a guillotine choke following a Vieira takedown attempt, only to have Rodolfo escape and Brundage give up his back in the process. It was academic from there. Having alternated wins and losses in his past four bouts, the Brazilian has just 11 professional fights under his belt despite his advance aged, making it unlikely a prolonged winning streak is forthcoming, but Vieira clearly has a world-class skill in his arsenal. To add to the successful evening, Vieira was also awarded a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

ANALYSIS

Forced to withdraw
Vieira has pulled out of his scheduled fight against Cody Brundage at UFC Vegas 65 on Saturday, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear as to what forced Vieira off of this card, but with the fight less than a week away, both fighters will no longer take part in the bout.
