Finds submission in UFC debut
De Ridder defeated Gerald Meerschaert via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 1:44 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A former two-division champion in ONE, de Ridder made his UFC debut here, and truth be told, didn't look very good. He landed some big blows on the feet, but also had his issues with the striking game of Meerschaert, which isn't a great sign. Both men made headway in the grappling department, with RDR landing 5-of-13 takedown attempts and finally finding the submission early in Round 3 after Gerald gassed out and essentially could no longer defend himself. Meerschaert is a tricky opponent to make your company debut again because of his grappling exploits, but it would of been nice to see a bit more emphatic victory from de Ridder, especially given his pedigree and the fact he entered as a -325 favorite.

UFC debut scheduled
De Ridder is scheduled to compete against Gerald Meerschaert in a middleweight fight at UFC Vegas 100 on Nov. 9, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
De Ridder is a 34-year-old best known for his tenure in ONE Championship. He entered the promotion 9-0 and won seven consecutive fights thereafter, resulting in him winning the ONE Middleweight World Championship and the ONE Light Heavyweight World Championship. But after losing both belts, de Ridder fought in UAE Warriors before signing with the UFC. He enters it 17-2 with 15 finishes, 11 of them submissions.
