ANALYSIS
This was a far more impressive performance from Elliott than his unanimous decision win over Val Woodburn in his company debut this past February. Oban completely shut down the wrestling game of Parsons, which is no small feat in itself. He appeared comfortable in all phases of the fight, landing just enough offense while defending at an elite level. Still just 26 years of age, Elliott has had all sorts of success on the European regional scene and is now a perfect 2-0 with the UFC. He's a fighter to keep an eye on at 170 pounds.

It would have been nice to see Elliott get a stoppage given the level of opposition he was going up against. Oban won't be 27 years of age until late-December, so time is clearly on his side.

Remarkably, "Evil" came back just as hard in the third frame, putting on a dominant display that may have warranted a 10-8 scorecard of its own. Elliot's gas tank issues are a bit worrying, as they may be a sign that he is setting a pace he cannot keep. Still, the 25-year-old will be able to provide action fights at the very least, with an opportunity to accomplish more if he can refine his skill set.
