Lasts 88 seconds in Vegas
Cirkunov lost to Alonzo Menifield via KO (punches) at 1:28 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was difficult to watch. Having quickly earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the least durable fighters in the sport today, Cirkunov ate a pair of bombs from Menifield a little over a minute in and immediately crumbled. The final shot knocked Misha out cold. It was surprising to many that Cirkunov was gifted another opportunity here despite the fact he entered having lost three straight and four of his last five. This result should essentially ensure his time with the company has come to a close. Assuming this is indeed the end, Cirkunov, a fighter with immense physical gifts that was never able to put it all together, will end his UFC run with a 6-7 mark.

Facing Menifield in October
Cirkunov will take on Alonzo Menifield at the UFC event on Oct. 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Cirkunov was most recently in the Octagon in February when he was destroyed by Wellington Turman. That brought his record with the UFC to a disappointing 2-4 mark. He needs to changed that in October.

Draws Gamzatov in August
Cirkunov will take on Shamil Gamzatov at UFC Vegas 59 on August 6, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Cirkunov looked to be on his way to a finish via strikes in his last appearance in February, but he allowed Wellington Turman back in the fight and was submitted in Round 2, marking his third consecutive defeat. The veteran wrestler could now be fighting for his roster spot against an opponent in Gamzatov who is 1-1 in the UFC. Look for Cirkunov to try and get this fight to the ground with his high-volume wrestling attack, though Gamzatov does have five career submission victories outside of the company. Cirkunov will enter with a one-inch advantage in both height and reach.

Crushing defeat in Vegas
Cirkunov lost to Wellington Turman via submission (armbar) at 1:29 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Cirkunov has had some crushing losses over the course of his career, but it will be difficult to top this one, his third in a row and one which may very well cost him his job. Blessed with elite physical gifts and seemingly zero idea how to use them on a consistent basis, Misha had to survive a very deep rear-naked choke in Round 1 before it appeared as if he would finish the fight via strikes. He was unable to, but once again appeared to be in a dominant position early in Round 2 following a beautiful judo trip. Then Cirkunov got lazy and left his arm exposed, and Turman nearly ripped it off. Misha has been given every opportunity to get his act together, but it's clearly not happening at this point. He turns 36 years of age Sunday.

Now facing Wellington Turman
Cirkunov will take on Wellington Turman on Feb. 26.
ANALYSIS
Cirkunov was previously scheduled to face Makhmud Muradov on that date, but he withdrew with a hand injury Thursday. In Turman, he'll face a fighter who's gone 2-3 to start his UFC career, bouncing back from a pair of first-round knockout loss to earn a split decision victory over Sam Alvey in his most recent fight in August. Cirkunov doesn't have a strong recent record either, losing his last two fights and five of his last seven.
