Not competitive following layoff
StrawweightUFC
August 6, 2022
Granger lost to Cory McKenna via submission (Von Flue choke) at 1:03 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 40 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Granger never had a prayer in this fight, as she was totally overwhelmed by the physicality and wrestling game of her stronger opponent. Granger gave up three takedowns on four attempts, allowing McKenna 4:40 worth of control time in a fight which barely lasted six minutes. The fact Granger wasn't the least bit competitive is extremely concerning. The 30-year-old began her UFC run with a unanimous decision win over Hannah Goldy in August 2019, but has lost three straight since, including this one -- Granger's first fight since November 2020. The odds of Granger receiving another opportunity with the company appear to be quite slim after this performance.

Set for Aug. 6 fight
StrawweightUFC
May 5, 2022
Granger will take on Cory McKenna on the Aug. 6 UFC card, James Lynch of MMANews.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After a solid start to her UFC career, Granger has struggled in the Octagon recently, losing each of her last two fights. She last fought in November of 2020 but will aim to get back on track in August against McKenna, who is also aiming to bounce back from what was her first career loss to Elise Reed in mid-March. Granger holds major advantages in both height (four inches) and reach (10 inches), so she will likely aim to keep McKenna at a distance.
No-shows loss in Vegas
StrawweightUFC
November 14, 2020
Granger lost to Ashley Yoder via unanimous decision (26-30, 27-29, 27-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a strange, strange fight. The one constant throughout the course of the 15-minute bout was Granger's inability to generate any offense whatsoever. She and Yoder spent nearly the entirety of the first ten minutes of the fight rolling around on the mat accomplishing nothing. The difference between the two women was that Yoder picked up the paced in Round 3 while Granger remained stationary. It's a bad look for a fighter who entered as a hefty -165 favorite. Yoder had really struggled of late and Granger had nothing for her. There's not much to get excited about here.
