Kassem will not fight Miranda Granger on August 8 due to an undisclosed injury, James Lynch of of MMA News reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear what the injury issue for Kassem is at this point. It is likely that this fight is rebooked rather than Granger finding another opponent. Kassem will be looking to bounce back after loses in her last two fights.

Set to face Granger in August

Falls in native Australia
Kassem lost to Ji Yeon Kim via TKO (punches) at 4:59 of Round 2 at UFC 243 on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Kassem hung around, but the end result was her second straight stoppage loss. While the striking numbers were virtually even and Kassem was the more effective striker to the body, she never really had Kim in any sort of trouble and was unable to survive a late flurry from Kim in Round 3 that was finished off by a big body shot. Quite frankly, the fight should have been stopped several seconds earlier. Kassem is young enough (24 years old next month) to expect improvement going forward, but there's no guarantee she will receive a third opportunity with the company.
