Misses weight ahead of UFC 281
Trizano weighed in at 147.6 pounds ahead of Saturday's fight versus Seungwoo Choi at UFC 281, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The fight will proceed as scheduled, but Trizano will forfeit 20 percent of his purse to Choi as a result of the weight miss. Trizano last fought in June when he was defeated by Lucas Almeida via TKO and has now lost three of his last four fights, so he'll need a victory Saturday if he wants to remain in good standing with the promotion.

Set to fight at UFC 281
Trizano will take on Seungwoo Choi at UFC 281 on Nov. 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Trizano is coming off his first knockout victory in June over Lucas Almeida. He began his time with the UFC with back-to-back wins, but dropped three straight before prevailing a couple months ago. Trizano will look to prove himself again on a big stage in November.

First career knockout defeat
Trizano lost to Lucas Almeida via TKO (punches) at 0:55 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a tale of two fights, with Trizano being the better man in Round 1 and Almeida being in full control the rest of the way. Trizano has fought some heavy hitters over the course of his career, but this was the first time he had ever been stopped via strikes. The total strike count was extremely lopsided in Almeida's favor (94-42), although Trizano did score a knockdown in the opening frame. Mike has excellent size for the division at 5-foot-11, and prior to this fight had been durable, so there were reasons for optimism moving forward, but a loss here against a debuting fighter as a -225 favorite is a crushing setback. The 30-year-old New Jersey native began his UFC run with back-to-back wins, but it's been all downhill sine, as Trizano has dropped three of four dating back to May 2019. He will find himself firmly entrenched in "must win" territory his next time out. On the bright side, he'll take home an extra $50,000 after this matchup was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Taking on Lucas Almeida
Trizano (ribs) agreed to fight Lucas Almeida at UFC's June 5 event, Combate reports.
ANALYSIS
Trizano was suspended six months pending review of his rib injury after losing to Hakeem Dawodu via unanimous decision in February, but he's set to re-enter the Octagon in June. Almeida is making his UFC debut after appearing in Dana White's Contender Series in September.

Needs X-rays to avoid suspension
Trizano has been suspended six months by the Nevada Athletic Commission pending review of a left ribs injury, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It was a rough night at the office for Trizano in more ways than one, as the 30-year-old has now lost two of his last three UFC bouts. A suspension through August 5 is now on the table due to a possible injury, but he could always be cleared earlier should his X-rays come back clean, or a commission-approved physician gives him the green light.
